A year passed his arrest for gun and drug charges in September 2017, Young Thug is putting in overtime to get his charges tossed.
The Blast reports that the Atlanta rapper filed court documents demanding that the case gets thrown out due to unlawful conduct by law enforcements during his arrest in Brookhaven, Georgia.
In the docs, Thugger claims that he was never given his Miranda rights by the cops during his arrest. Therefore, he wants all his statements thrown out. Moreover, he argued that the reason to even stop his car was unlawful and they didn’t have enough evidence for a search.
Police found methamphetamine, marijuana, hydrocodone, guns, and almost $50,000 in cash inside of Young Thug’s car at the time of the arrest. He was indicted for drug possession with intent to sell by a grand jury last month.
The Slime Language rapper was arrested last month for failing a court ordered drug test. Since then he has been attending an outpatient drug treatment program, and takes weekly drug tests.
