Fresh off the release of her new album When I Get Home, Solange debuts the accompanying film of the same name.
The stunning 33-minute visual, which premiered on Apple Music, is a magical journey through Houston’s Third Ward. Soundtracked by the 19-track album, Solange pays homage to her culturally rich hometown. Starting with “Things I Imagined,” she dances in a shimmering fringe dress and dons a black cowboy hat and suit during “Down with the Clique.”
Solange dances in front of her web cam, and there are also images of cowboys, a rodeo, and a baptism. Famed internet stripper Aziah “Zola” Wells also makes a cameo, dancing on a pole and dragging a spaceship control panel through the desert. The live-action spectacular caps off with an animated sequence.
