Diddy drops the science at the Roc Nation Grammy brunch.
At the star-studded event over Grammy weekend hosted by the good folks at Roc Nation, a multi-talented toast went down with many of the culture’s most celebrated personalities were a part of. Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Swizz Beatz, Casanova 2X, Usher and many others were present and Diddy dropped a public service announcement that has gone viral since it was recorded.
Following Kevin Hart’s speech, Diddy gave his speech and ended it with a resounding
“The Blackman is God! Cheers!!”
See excerpts from the party, including Diddy words below.
This isn’t the first time Diddy uttered these powerful words, which are rooted in the teachings of the 5% Nation, also known as the Nation Of Gods and Earths, a Black cultural movement originating in Harlem in 1964. The Bad Boy head honcho made the declaration in his “Money Makin’ Mitch” video in 2016.
Many personalities within Hip Hop have expressed their pro-5% values including members of the Wu Tang Clan, Charlamagne Tha God, Busta Rhymes, Mobb Deep, Erykah Badu, Rakim, Brand Nubian and countless others. Jay-Z and Carmelo Anthony have come under heavy scrutiny for bearing the Universal Flag, the symbol that represents those call themselves members of the 5% Nation or Nation of Gods and Earths.
