Two more men have pled guilty in 6ix9ine’s federal racketeering case.
On Wednesday (April 3), Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones and Faheem “Crippy” Walter both entered guilty pleas. This brings the total number of guilty pleas in the case to five including 6ix9ine, his former manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, Jensel “Ish” Butler, Jones, and Walter.
According to court documents obtained by Complex, Walter pleaded guilty to two counts: violent crime in the aid of racketeering and a firearms offense in connection with an armed robbery in Manhattan in April 2018.
In a statement, Walter’s lawyer Edward Sapone acknowledged his defendant’s guilty plea. “Mr. Walter is to be commended for having the courage to honestly and publicly admit his wrongdoing,” Sapone told Complex. “By his acceptance of responsibility, he has put the old behind him as he starts a new life that his children can be proud of. He looks forward to demonstrating to Judge Engelmayer the compelling reasons why the minimum sentence of 60 months is the right sentence.”
The same day, Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones entered his guilty plea. Jones was known as the “godfather” of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, making him the highest-ranking member on the streets, according to the New York Daily News.
6ix9ine’s former manager, Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, a high-ranking member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, faces a minimum prison sentence of 15 years in connection with the robbery and discharging a firearm during a shooting at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
In February, Tekashi pleaded guilty to nine federal charges including hiring a hitman to kill Chief Keef and distributing drugs. The 22-year-old rapper struck a deal with the feds in an attempt to lighten his sentence. He is scheduled to be sentenced in January 2020.
