Drake and Tory Lanez show the strength in Canadian unification.
Tory Lanez has kept everyone entertained over the past week with his Instagram Live session called, “Quarantine Radio.” The must-see live event features high profile celebrity guest appearances, multiple shots of Patron Tequilla and a wild twerk contest. Thousands of viewers have tuned in to see the hilarious shenanigans on each episode.
Tuesday’s episode was one for the books, when Tory Lanez’s Toronto brethren, Drake joined “Quarantine Radio.” The fans owe all thanks to Chris Brown.
“I’m here via Chris Brown by the way,” said the OVO honcho. “I was in bed and my phone started ringing. Breezy was like get on the live.”
During Drake’s three and a half minute appearance, the two talked staying Corona free and concluded with taking a shot. Drake’s classic song, “Shot For Me” has been the theme song for Quarantine Radio’s “Shotaclock” segment.
Prior to the “When To Say When” rapper’s cameo, Tory’s Instagram Live had succeeded over 150,000 viewers. That number doubles instantly. The Canadian dream team amassed over 315,000 viewers, breaking the previous record held by Taylor Swift. Now the record belongs to Tory Lanez and Drake.
Drake joins the likes of a number of superstar artists who have made cameos on Quarantine Radio such as Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown, DMX, Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug and more.
Quarantine Radio has certainly been an unexpected promotional tool for Tory Lanez. The “Talk To Me” artist recently dropped a new single and video for “Do The Most.” In addition, he revealed the cover art and date for his upcoming mixtape, New Toronto 3. Quarantine Radio returns to Instagram Live on Thursday, April 2nd.
