Tiing – “In Tune” (Album Review)

Emerging Bronx Ny rapper Tiing has released his 1st release of 2019 with “In Tune“, At 1st glance the multi dimensional cover caught my attention right away (in my mind) I ripped the package off digitally and blasted the full album  1-11 In my 1996 Nissan Altima. Tiing is the son of a Ny Jazz legend by the name of Greg Bandy Its like the best artist come form Jazz legends or something, Greg Bandy a Jazz drummer who some say to revolutionize his instrument & Track 1 is only right to start off with Pops narrating the beginning.

Pops starts off with some game from back in the day as we go into the knowledge a man teaches his son in “Diamonds & Coals”, I especially like the vibe and the message behind this song along with the rhyme scheme riding on top of each word. From the jump I start to form a vision of what the rest of the album sounds like.

“Galleries” was about drip & barz reminded me of the Wayne Corey Gunz days when the beat was big and barz was raw I can imagine the visual attached to this song. “Balance”  featuring Mari was about keeping your head level within the status which is harder then it sounds with the assort of vanities in the world and music industry not to mention. The sonic vibe was smooth I especially li liked the hook it gave it a real balance and brought it to life.

“Brown Paper Bag” is again a reminiscing of our age of barz ushered in like artist like Cassidy, Fab &Lil Wayne, I can see Tiing evolving his craft and only getting better added newer elements to his artistry. Party vibe I can see this song along with “Cohiba” being spinned by Deejays on demand. Tiing’s Songwriting ability  is on full display as we ride half way through the album showing his versatility as this sound reminds me of 21 savage & Young Thug mixed giving it its own unique vibe.

“IDC” fits perfect on this album as it continues the party vibe light up the night the beat is banging with a non chalant tempo that went hand & hand. After listening to most of this album I can imagine fans of artist like Dom Kennedy taking a liking to “In Tune”or even Dj mustard & YGs audience. “Talk Shit” was just that featuring S’natra as the beat synchronized with a computer sound sped up giving them a faster bpm to talk shit.

“Samba” feat Lean automatic was the coming of a prince so to speak with a track with substance and an internal reflection on love & life. This is the mindset that will create wealth inside”I put my trust into the universe rather do & learn then not do at all” most people in the world will never achieve their goals because they simply dont go after them, For more music from the Bronx artist visit his website and follow him on his social media accounts.
