This Happnd: As KimYe Prep For Baby No. 4, Serena Williams Becomes Face Of Tinder’s Arch Rival

As the hip-hop world geeks out over Kanye West and Kim Kardashian preparing for their fourth baby, tennis icon Serena Williams is helping singles enhance their relationship goals by becoming the face of dating app Bumble.

According to reports, Williams has partnered up with the popular online community for a yearlong professional relationship.

Bumble will unveil a marketing campaign with Williams that will “coincide” with the Super Bowl in February, according to Reuters, but would not say whether the campaign involves a TV commercial. (When asked, Williams offered that the Super Bowl is “a great opportunity for women’s voices to be heard louder” and that “We want to make noise”—so yeah, seems likely there will be a commercial.) One thing we do know that the campaign is cheekily titled “The Ball is in Her Court.” (Jezebel)

In addition to starring in the upcoming “The Ball is in Her Court” campaign, Williams will officially don the title of Bumble global advisor.

“Partnering with Serena Williams has been a dream of mine since we launched Bumble as she is one of the most inspiring women in history and a shining example of someone making the first move in all facets of her life,” said Whitney Wolfe Herd, Bumble founder and CEO, in a statement. Wolfe Herd continued: “She is a role model, a mom, an entrepreneur and a fierce athlete. She is the epitome of strength, integrity, kindness, empowerment and everything Bumble stands for.” (Ad Week)

The partnership is expected to fully launch next month during Super Bowl LIII.

As part of the deal, Williams will serve as a global advisor to Bumble to help reinforce the brand’s mission to end misogyny and empower women, the company said in a statement. Bumble has differentiated itself among a sea of dating apps by allowing women to make the first move in relationships. Bumble said the partnership will go live during the Super Bowl airing on Feb. 3 on CBS. (Ad Age)

A couple years ago, Serena and her then-fiancé Alex Ohanian welcomed their newborn daughter into the world.

The tennis pro welcomed a baby girl on Friday — in the middle of the U.S. Open — at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach with fiancé Alexis Ohanian. “Tennis star Serena Williams gives birth to a baby girl weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Mom and baby doing well,” WPBF-25 news producer Chris Shepherd announced on Twitter, citing a source at the hospital. (New York Daily News)
