With his fourth album, After Hours, on the way, The Weeknd has released the short film of the same name.
A bloody Abel is seen in the film in an inflamed state, giving a nod to what we can expect on the album as his smile fades away and the mood gets darker as he rooms Los Angeles. The “After Hours” single plays through the video, leaving room for more to come for the March 20 drop.
This week “Blinding Lights” became The Weeknd’s 7th #1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart, the most for any artist. The song also is #1 airplay song in both Germany and France for 7+ consecutive weeks, and it has recently hit #1 in Australia as well.
The Weeknd is set for tour that will kick off in on June 11 with dates set for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
