The “Hate it or Love it” rapper says the music industry hasn’t shown him the respect he deserves.
Popular West Coast rapper The Game believes the music industry is yet to acknowledge him because he is yet to be a “puppet” for money. On Sunday, October 24th the emcee took to Twitter to express his feelings about his Hip Hop career.
” never got my flowers from the industry cause wouldn’t be a puppet for the dollar bill #ThugLife,” he tweeted. “You know how many of your favorite WEST COAST artists I hand a hand in puttin on??? Just being a good n***a. Was offered finders fees, could’ve signed n****s….. etc, I just wanted to see n****s from my side win.”
The Game then added, “Ask Dr. Dre…. Ask Top Dawg, ask n****s… I been solid for n****s since 2003 in this shit. The definition of “GOOD LOOKIN.”
According to REVOLT, the form G-Unit rapper said that he was the best rapper to come out of Compton — even being ahead of Kendrick Lamar. The Game made this statement during a Clubhouse conversation with West Coast rappers Kxng Crooked and Glasses Malone. “Can’t nobody in Compton out rap Game, n***a. Can’t nobody in Compton out rap me,” he stated. “Kendrick my n***a. Kendrick doing his shit. I love that n***a to death. N***a, I flew past Kendrick when that n***a was on foot, n***a, in a Range Rover and showed him how to do this shit.”
He continued with confidence, “Don’t play. Don’t play with Game name. Compton, n***a. Hardest n***a in Compton, rapping, lyricist, me. Any n***a that say any different, I’ll body him and any n***a he fuck with.” The rapper also claimed that he considered, Kendrick Lamar, MC Ren, and DJ Quik to be the top three rappers from his hometown, aside from himself.
The Game has been around for a long time, and as his recent claims say he did put artists on songs and give them a bigger platform but it is factual that no one holds him on the same level as other Hip Hop legends.
