After an unexpected release from federal prison due to the COVID-19 outbreak, former Blood-affiliated rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine switched up his bio on Instagram to ask all of his followers and critics a question: Why is everyone calling him a snitch?
Even though the disgraced Brooklyn rapper has been restricted to home confinement, he’s still breaking his house arrest rules, with online trolling being one of them.
6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, toed the virtual trolling line when he updated his Instagram with a new profile pic and a question in his bio asking, “Why everybody callin me a snitch? Am I missing something?”
Possibly, Tekashi’s delusions of grandeur may have stemmed from his short sentence, along with his early release, forgetting that all of his co-defendants are serving at least seven years behind bars.
Recently, Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack was sentenced to 17 years in prison for his role in the Nine Trey Blood gang federal racketeering and drug case. His manager, Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, too a 15-year sentence in a plea deal, while Fuguan “Fu Banga” Lovick was handed down a 85-month federal sentence for the shooting at the Barclay’s Center in April 2018. All of these sentences were given to the accused based primarily on Tekashi’s testimony.
