Taylor Swift Hints at Drake Collaboration

Do Taylor Swift and Drake have a collaboration in the works?

The pop superstar graces the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. In the cover photo, she wears a denim jacket covered in pins with references to several artists including Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan, Dixie Chicks, and Drake. A photo of the rapper from the “Hotline Bling” video appears on a button, which sits alongside another pin that says “Track 5.”

“Wanted to rep as many things/people I love on the jacket and more in the interview,” tweeted Swift.

Fans immediately started speculating that Taylor’s upcoming seventh album will include a collaboration with the 6 God.

Swift also praised Drake in the magazine. “I love his one-liners,” she said before quoting “Summer Games” and “Nonstop.” “Like ‘You say I led you on / But you followed me.’ Or ‘This a Rollie, not a stopwatch / It don’t ever stop.’”

In 2016, Swift shot an Apple Music commercial featuring her running on a treadmill while rapping along to Drake and Future’s “Jumpman.”

This would not be the first time Swift has dropped Easter eggs to tease music. Her upcoming album title and the title of her second single are included somewhere in the “ME!” music video. “I love that [the fans] like the cryptic hint-dropping,” she told EW. “Because as long as they like it, I’ll keep doing it. It’s fun. It feels mischievous and playful.”

During the interview, Swift also praised Ciara. “‘Thinkin Bout You’ is amazing,” she said of Ciara’s latest single. “I listen to it every day when I wake up. She’s so nice, too. She’s been working hard and challenging herself and making cool stuff.”

Swift also revealed that her new album will include more songs than any of her previous releases. “I try not to go into making an album with any expectation,” she said. “I started to write so much that I knew immediately it would probably be bigger.”
