The late XXXTentacion’s posthumously released album Skins scored a major accomplishment yesterday. It’s been reported that the LP will land at No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album reportedly sold 132,000 in its first week with 52,000 being pure album sales.
Skins replaced Meek Mill’s Championships which fell to No. 2 in its second week, as the set earned 129,000 units (down 43 percent).
Skins is the first posthumous album to reach the Number 1 position since Prince’s The Very Best of Prince when it entered the charts again on May 6, 2016, at No. 1 spot following his death on April 21 of that year.
SKINS is XXXTENTACION’s third studio album and his first full-length posthumous release. It is also a follow-up to his second studio album, ? was released before his untimely death just eight months prior. The ten-track album has only one feature from Kanye West
