It’s no secret that Popcaan and Drake have a relationship more profound than music, no doubt. Throughout the years, they’ve openly supported one another and brought each other out during their festivals. Last year, during Popcaan’s Unruly Fest, Drake made the huge announcement to fans that he would be signing Popcaan to his OVO music label. Although the topic of the signing has been floating in the air for some time now, Drake assured fans that 2019 would be the year that Popcaan would it make official, and it seems as though he is keeping his word.
“New mixtape from my brother @popcaanmusic his first project on OVO
SOUND maddddd,” Drake wrote on Instagram. Drake posted the cover art for
the Dancehall sensation mixtape along with the caption. The 10 track mixtape
doesn’t include any additional features.
“This project is a Christmas present for all my fans, especially the
ones who will be turning out and supporting me at the ‘Unruly Fest’ the day after the release. Next year will come the real album, but for
now, let’s enjoy Vanquishtogether,” Popcaan told the
press.
Vanquish is now available on Apple Music and Spotify.
