Certain pockets of the music industry are wondering where are The Carters? According to Page Six, Beyoncé and JAY-Z are rumored to be keeping a low profile amidst Diddy’s scandal, despite Hov being seen for involvement in soccer, the NFL and more.

An insider says the two were not trying to show their face due to their close friendship association with the disgraced Bad Boy Records mogul.

“This was supposed to be Beyoncé’s time, with her much-anticipated country album out [just] two months ago. And yet, she is nowhere to be seen. The album is slipping and Jay and B aren’t reveling in the spotlight,” said an insider. “About a month before the [March 29] release, Jay-Z got up at the Grammys and whined that Beyoncé had never won Album of the Year. But now what? Does he think she will win . . . for ‘Cowboy Carter’ with no promotion . . . no appearances and no wooing of the academy?”

The insider added, “Something is going on. It came out with a bang. No. 1 everywhere. [Now] it and she have disappeared.”

There are currently no allegations or connections of wrongdoings to The Carters.

Every once in a while, you have to tour your hometown. That’s what JAY-Z did, taking Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter, and their family on a Tea Around Town bus sightseeing tour. According to TMZ, The Carters hit all the Big Apple hot spots, including Times Square and the Saks 5th Avenue holiday window display. The trip included scones and sweet and savory treats. You can see their ride below.

JAY-Z and Beyoncé Paid Cash for Their New $200 Million Malibu Estate

JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s new crib continues to run it up in the headlines. Doubling back on their original report, TMZ notes The Carters paid for the $200 million crib in straight cash.

The publication notes their already combined worth of $3 billion that can make the purchase an easy deal. But as Hov said, “Take what Forbes figured and figure more.”

Although JAY-Z and Beyoncé has new digs, they also plan to keep their $100 million home in Bel-Air.

According to TMZ, a source close to The Carters reveals that the Malibu crib will essentially operate as a weekend home, a getaway. The Bel-Air mansion, purchased for $88 million and enhancements raised it to $100 million, will be the main home, which is close to friends and their children’s schools.

The same source also states Hov wants to move to the Malibu estate one day. Plans at the moment don’t detail what would happen to the Bel-Air crib, once the move is final.

The new purchase, a 30,000-square-foot Paradise Cove home, was the most expensive home in the state.

The Carters’ new crib was designed by Japanese master architect Tadao Ando and previously owned by premiere art collector William Bell, who put 15 years into the home’s construction. The home is located on Billionaires’ Row, originally costs $295 million, and sits on eight acres on a bluff that looks out into the Pacific Ocean.

Nicki Minaj Performs Nine-Song Medly and Accepts Video Vanguard Award at MTV VMAs

Nicki Minaj is running the rap world right now. This past Sunday, Minaj accepted the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she also hosted and performed.

Showing that she is still marveling at the moment, Minaj revealed she received flowers celebrating the moment from JAY-Z and Beyoncé.

“Congrats on your beautiful award. Sending you all our love. Hov & B Holla,” the note read.

With a marathon nine-song performance on her “Barbie Dream House” stage, international superstar Nicki Minaj was celebrated with MTV’s coveted Video Vanguard Award.

Minaj’s set included the hits “All Things Go,” “Roman’s Revenge,” “Monster,” “Beez in the Trap,” “Chun-Li,” “Moment 4 Life,” “Super Bass,” “Anaconda,” and the world premiere of her brand-new song, “Super Freaky Girl.”

Additionally, she gave a moving acceptance speech in which she emphasized the value of mental health and thanked her devoted “Barbz” for their continuous support.

Nicki Minaj and her new single “Super Freaky Girl” debuted on top of the Billboard Hot 100. The single is Minaj’s third time on top of the chart, but her first time unaccompanied. She previously appeared alongside 6ix9ine on top with “Trollz” and with Doja Cat on “Say So.”

“Super Freaky Girl” features a sample of Rick James’ “Super Freak” and had a monster week of 21.1 million streams, 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 89,000 downloads in its first week.

“Super Freaky Girl” is also Minaj’s 21st single to reach the Top 10 of the Hot 100. It is the rapper’s second single to do so this year, following her collaboration with Lil Baby, “Do We Have a Problem.”

In addition to the top of the Hot 100, Minaj’s new single tops the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts.

Adding to the moment, Minaj topping the charts follows “Break My Soul” by Beyoncé and “About Damn Time” by Lizzo, making for the first time in this century that three solo Black female artists have topped the Hot 100. Minaj is also the first solo rapper to debut on top of the Billboard Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill in 1998.

ICYMI: The Carters and Tiffany & CO. Pledge Millions for HBCU Scholarships

Jay Z Beyonce Scholarships

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are teaming up with Tiffany & Co. to provide scholarships to five historically Black colleges and universities. 

The Love Scholarship program is being made possible through the BeyGOOD and Shawn Carter Foundations. 

Following the launch of their “About Love” campaign, the New York-based jeweler has pledged two-million dollars in funding towards the program.  

The schools receiving scholarships include Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, Norfolk State University in Virginia, Bennett College in North Carolina, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Central State University in Ohio.

“We would like to thank the Shawn Carter Foundation, BeyGOOD, The Carters and the Tiffany & Co. family for including Lincoln University in this amazing gift,” Dr. Brenda A. Allen, president of Lincoln University said in a statement.

“Lincoln has placed a high priority on supporting the arts and humanities on our campus. Providing financial support for students pursuing these majors enhances their ability to more fully engage their studies.”

The Carters have a long history of supporting HBCU’s. In 2019 Jay-Z assisted an HBCU bus tour. While, Bey’s BeyGOOD foundation has awarded scholarships to HBCU students for many years.

Its’s great to see artist bring love to HBCU’s and put money to back higher education.

The new Tiffany’s campaign teaser has the billionaire couple in the hot seat.

On Monday, the jewelry company released a teaser for their upcoming ad titled “About Love,” showing the celebrity power house couple together with Beyoncé dawning a 30-million-dollar, 128-carat, yellow diamond Tiffany necklace.

In doing so, Beyoncé became the first Black woman to rock the iconic 128-carat gem stone that Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This is also the first time we’ve seen Hov and Beyoncé appear in an ad together.  

The billionaire couple is seen posed in front of a rare painting, Equals Pi by Jay-Z’s favorite artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat [[ Zhohn Mee-shell Baa-skee-ah ]].  The 1982 piece was sold in a private collection over thirty years ago and has never been seen before in public. Ironically the paining’s canvas primary color is Tiffany’s signature robin’s egg blue.

Shortly after the ad teaser dropped, Basquiat became a trending Twitter topic with many speculating how the famously anti-capitalist Brooklyn-born artist would likely feel about his artwork being used to sell jewelry. 

However according to reports, Alexandre Arnault, the executive vice president of products and communications at Tiffany & Co. confirmed the artwork belongs to Tiffany’s. In the ad it visibly states the usage was licensed with permission “© Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Licensed by Artestar, New York.”

The company acquired the painting earlier this year and maybe the only luxury campaign in history to include the purchase of a Basquiat in its budget. Not to mention including a $2 million donation to HBCU’s for scholarships and internships. That has to be Twitter worthy, no?

Despite the backlash, Tiffany & Co. is on the books with a ton of money for their yearlong campaign with the Carters. The new faces of the “ABOUT LOVE” campaign will be featured in a short film with Beyoncé singing “Moon River” to Jay-Z.

The full Tiffany’s ad will be unveiled on September 3rd.

The Carters Accepted Their BRIT Award #APESHIT Style

The Carters are the winners of the Best International Group at the 2019 BRIT Awards. While they were not present in the building, the superstar couple of JAY-Z and Beyonce made their presence felt with their acceptance video.

As they accepted their award, they stood in front of a Meghan Markle portrait, reminiscent to their APESHIT visual. The duo was looking at the camera, eventually saying thank you to their fans and family and BRIT Awards for the honor.

“You guys have always been so supportive. Everything is love, thank you.” JAY-Z then says “You’re welcome” in a joking manner before they turn and face the portrait. A child, more than likely Blue, in the background says “Why?” It was so cute! The portrait of Meghan represents their support of the Queen.
