Ray Vaughn, the latest sensation from Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), continues to set the music scene ablaze with his latest single, “Blasphemy.” Produced by a powerhouse trio including Boi 1da, OZ, and SMPLGTWY, the track showcases Vaughn’s distinctive wordplay and boasts an infectious hook, “F**k up the forecast!”
Following his collaboration with Pusha T in February, Vaughn’s newest offering reinforces his rising prominence in the industry. Despite its explicit nature, the hook fosters an engaging dynamic between the artist and his audience, promising to ignite every corner it touches.
Accompanied by a visually stunning video shot partly in an LA church and on the city’s outskirts, Vaughn and his crew proudly brandish the TDE flag, reinforcing their allegiance to the label. “Newborn tiger, earnin’ my stripes!” exclaims Vaughn, embodying the bold spirit of his music.
Doechii drops her first EP for Top Dawg Entertainment / Capitol Records she / her / black b*tch.
The Tampa native comes out swinging as she flexes her distinct voice and versatile talents that range from quick-fire bars to seductive singing that cement her as Rap’s newest ‘it girl.’
Doechii lends her signature half-rap, half-singing flow over production from Kal Banx, Hit-Boy, Bankroll Got It and Devin Malik. Her EP is Executive Produced by Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith and Anthony “Moosa” Tiffith Jr.
The self-proclaimed ‘swamp princess’ noted that her EP title was a way for her to reclaim the power of being put down in the past. “Many times I’ve been referred to as a “b*tch” as a way to gaslight me out of certain spaces, something I think many people can relate to in one way or another,” says the 23-year-old.
“Lots of people will call you various names for doing something differently. So I decided to take ownership of the ‘Black b*tch’ and title my EP she/ her/ black b*tch and reclaim that motherf***ing power,” Doechii added. “So if you’ve ever been put down for being yourself, just remember you’re powerful and unapologetic- these songs are for you.”
The breakout star had an impressive 2021 gaining momentum with a new audience from her viral TikTok song “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” and a dope feature on “Wat U Sed” from Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burning LP.
The 5-track project follows up Doechii’s remix featuring fellow labelmate and GRAMMY winner SZA on “Persuasive,” which also made Obama’s Summer playlist.
Check out Doechii’s 13 minute mixture of Hip Hop, R&B and Electro-Pop, on she/ her/ black b*tch below.

Doechii and multi-platinum Grammy winner SZA join forces on the new remix of “Persuasive” released via Top Dawg Entertainment/Capitol Records.
Today marks the first collaboration of TDE’s female powerhouses with all the vibes on “Persuasive” remix. Doechii flexes her signature half-rap, half-singing flow.
“Feel like I feel like I needed rest, feel it’s the season I should let go,” the 23-year-old spits over a Kal Banx production. The addition of SZA to “Persuasive,” which is an ode to the perfect high, makes the song even more addicting.
“I created “Persuasive” to uplift people and bring communities together, so having SZA jump on the song was a perfect fit because I’ve always connected with others over her music,” says Doechii. “Knowing that SZA is with TDE was what originally got me most excited about being on this label, so now that we have a song together it’s a full-circle moment. She really ATE! This collaboration is everything I always imagined it to be.”

Kendrick Lamar shares the official cover art to the highly-anticipated new album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers which drops this Friday (May 13) everywhere via Interscope/Aftermath/Top Dawg/pgLang.
The cover features a throne-crowned wearing Kung Fu Kenny with his family and a gun in his back waist-band, holding his oldest child, while his wife, Whitney Alford, sits on the bed, holding their infant child with the impression of breastfeeding. The cover arrives several days after Lamar released the upcoming album’s single “The Heart Part 5” which has received huge attention due to the visual’s homage to the likes of O.J. Simpson, Kanye West, Jessie Smollett, Will Smith, and the late-Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle.
Kendrick’s latest visual, released last Sunday evening (May 9), samples the 1976 Marvin Gaye–classic “I Want You” and has already accumulated over 17 million views-and-growing on YouTube in two days. The song and video have received praise from all over pop culture and entertainment. “The Heart Part 5” is set to appear on Kendrick’s forthcoming fifth studio album — his first album release in five years.
In August 2021, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers was revealed as Kendrick’s “final” album with his original recording home, Top Dawg Entertainment. “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” Lamar shared in a message on his oklama website at the time. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood.” He released his debut album under Top Dawg in 2012 with Good Kid M.A.A.D. City — and with the label Kendrick earned a Pultizer Prize in 2018 for his 2017 album, DAMN.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers drops Friday on all digital streaming platforms.

Riff is driven by a rapidly growing and diverse team of 75% women and persons of color with investors including the cream of the crop in Silicon Valley and the biggest artists and musicians in Hip-HOp and Country music. The platform is led CEO and Stanford engineer Kara Katz, CTO and Stanford computer scientist Steve Petersen, and EVP, Morehouse alumni and entertainment executive Brandon “BL” Lewis.

Kendrick Lamar broke his silence to announce his nearly two decade run with Top Dawg Entertainment is coming to an end.
Kendrick tweeted a link to oklama.com on Friday along with a folder clip art with the words “nu thoughts” under the image.
On the site, K-Dot gave an update on his next album. “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” he wrote. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.”
Kung Fun Kenny started the note sharing how he spends most of his days and revealed that he goes months without a phone. “I spend most of my days with fleeting thoughts. Writing. Listening. And collecting old Beach cruisers. The morning rides keep me on a hill of silence. I go months without a phone. Love, loss, and grief have disturbed by comfort zone, but the glimmers of God speak through my music and family. While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next.”
It’s unclear if his departure from TDE also marks a retirement, but Kendrick Lamar ended his message with a positive note. “There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I’ve prayed for you all. See you soon enough.”
