LeBron James isn’t the only basketball player getting production deals. Golden State Warrior Kevin Durant’s drama has been picked up by Apple and turned into a series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama will be called Swagger, which is a show based on Durant’s life as a top hoops prospect in Washington D.C. The project comes from Durant and Rich Kleiman’s Thirty Five Ventures, Imagine Television and CBS TV Studios. Reggie Rock, most famous for Notorious, will serve as showrunner and director. The show will explore the world of Amateur Athletic Union basketball in the nation’s capital, following players, families, and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams, ambition, opportunism, and corruption.
The project will be apart of Apple’s streaming service. As of now, there isn’t a set launch date for the service.
