Jussie Smollett is clearly in the Christmas spirit.
Smollett, who plays Jamal Lyon on Empire, has donated $125,000 to a list of African-American charities that he supports.
The charities include, the Black AIDS Institute, Flint KIDS, South Africa’s SKY Foundation, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp, ACLU, and the Anthony Burrell Dance School.
The money comes from Jussie Smollett’s Sum Of My Music album.
Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights campaign has received lots of attention this year, especially following his controversial Nike ad campaign which sparked the conversation if the former quarterback was doing more than just protesting.
