OVO’s Baka Not Nice Calls ‘DONDA’ a “Dud”

Kanye West Reportedly Grossed $12M From 'DONDA' Events And The Album Isn't Even Out Yet

Baka Not Nice gives his biased opinion on DONDA. Over the past week, the world has received new albums from two of music’s biggest superstars, Drake and Kanye West. In anticipation for their album rollouts, the two have continued to take shots at each other.

Before DONDA and CLB saw the light of day, Yeezy’s close friend collaborator Consequence, said they were looking for Drake’s release date. Apparently, the intention was to drop DONDA on the same day. Of course that didn’t occur.

It then led Drake dissing Ye on Trippie Redd’s track, “Betrayed,” calling him “burnt out.”

It did not take long before Kanye put Drake in a group text message with Virgil and Pusha T, followed by posting Drake’s Toronto home address, which according to Rick Ross was something that many people already knew.

Despite the release of both albums, the proverbial shots between the two camps and their leading artists have yet to cease.

OVO’s Baka Not Nice took to IG Friday to vocalize his stance on Kanye’s latest album.

“CLB NO COMPARISON DONDA A DUDD,” he captioned.

On the other hand, Drake’s close friend OVO Mark went on lG ive prior to the release of CLB to say he actually likes DONDA. When the driver reacted with a laugh, Mark said he has no reason to lie or joke about it.

During the latest episode of OVO’s Sound 42 radio show on Sirius XM, Drake debuted Kanye’s track with Andre 3000 called, “Life of the Party.” Before its Sound 42 debut, Ye only played it for Berlin journalist, Musrif, following their interview early this week.

Drake Finesses Creative Partnership with SiriusXM and Pandora

2019 Billboard Music Awards

Source: Tony Forte/WENN / WENN

Today (July 25), SiriusXM announced it has entered into a partnership between Grammy Award-winning rapper and SiriusXM and Pandora. Part of the deal includes a dedicated station as well as curated music playlists and collabs with talent.

Reportedly, Drake holds the distinction of being the most-streamed artist of all time, so it only makes sense for SiriusXM and Pandora to link up with the 6 God.

Drake previously hosted OVO Sound Radio on Apple Music, but there are no specifics on the exact type of programming he will be contributing to Sirius XM just yet. Sirius XM acquired Pandora in a reportedly $3.5M deal late last year, and the merger was finalized at the top of 2019.

The creative partnership with Drizzy is there first major foray as one company.

Zerlina Maxwell Checks White Reporter Shocked To Hear “Skee Wees” At Black Book Event

SiriusXM Broadcasts 'Say It Loud...With Your Vote' Midterm Election Special From The World Famous Apollo Theater On November 1, 2018 In New York City.

Zerlina Maxwell raised a great question this week—why are white reporters who don’t have any knowledge of Black culture allowed to cover Black events? Seriously, we need answers.

In case you missed it, a white reporter was shocked and amazed to hear the wave of “skee wees” when Kamala Harris mentioned she’s a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. during a book event in Washington, D.C this past Thursday. The Washington Post reporter, Chelsea Janes, tweeted (and deleted), “Members of her Howard sorority are in the room and screeched when she mentioned her time there. Did not expect to hear screeches here,” BOSSIP reports. Not surprisingly, Black Twitter got in that *ss about her ignorance. SiriusXM Senior Director of Progressive Programming Zerlina Maxwell was also frustrated because, as mentioned earlier, why was Ms. Janes even in attendance?

Maxwell tweeted “The fact that the white reporter sent to cover her didn’t know what Skee Wee was is not a good sign that the media is going to cover her with the cultural competency required. And it IS a requirement!” See below.

Ms. Janes has apologized, thanking those who pointed out her ignorance.

Quite frankly, the constant “I didn’t mean it that way” excuse is becoming annoying.

Kevin Hart Apologizes for Past Homophobic Tweets on SiriusXM Radio Show

Kevin Hart’s unearthed homophobic tweets resulted in him stepping down from his Oscars hosting gig. He reportedly reconsidered taking up the job after Ellen Degeneres backed him, but ultimately decided to stay away from the whole thing.

The comedian spoke on the controversy on his SiriusXM show Straight to the Hart, which airs on his Laugh Out Loud Radio.

Kevin Hart said that he was regretful after saying words from his previously apology was “chopped up,” as per The Hollywood Reporter. “I will say this, and I want to make this very clear,” Hart said. “Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community. I apologize.”

He also joked about disagreement during the segment. “I want to say that I have no problem with gay people. I don’t have a homophobic bone in my body. I want you to be happy, be gay, be happy.’ And then I say as a heterosexual male, if I can do something to stop my son … that’s where the joke starts!”

“The only clip that I have seen all over the media is the one where I go, ‘stop! That’s gay.’”

Ad-Rock tells Rizzy how their partnership came about in the new episode that airs today, October 31:

“Oddly, a lot of our lyrics, we talk about food all the time. Mike has a friend that is now my very good friend. I took his friend, Roy Choi, an amazing chef, and we were just coming up with ideas for the book and we’re like ‘Oh we talk about food so much, let’s have a cookbook.’”

“Roy Choi, he went and took a bunch of lyrics and got inspired by those and made a bunch of recipes,” he adds.

The Beastie Boys Book is a nearly 600-page memoir that tells the story of their band. In addition to their life experiences and a cookbook, complete with illustrations, it also includes essays from Amy Poehler and Wes Anderson. Watch them talk about it in the clip above.
