Simone Biles Stands Up Against Social Media Critics: “Respectfully, F— Off”

Screen Shot 2024 05 20 at 5.09.28 PM

Following her recent victory at the 2024 Core Hydration Classic, Simone Biles, the four-time Olympian, took a moment to address the ongoing scrutiny surrounding her marriage. In a bold statement on her Instagram story, Biles expressed her frustration with the disrespectful comments directed at her husband, Jonathan Owens.

“I’m going to quickly address this. The joke was never a joke! Y’all are blatantly disrespectful to my relationship and my husband,” Biles wrote, not mincing her words. “So I’m going ahead and saying this one time. Respectfully, f— off.”

The controversy surrounding Biles’ marriage began after Owens’ appearance on “The Pivot” podcast, where he admitted to not initially recognizing Biles and expressed his belief that “men are the catch.” Despite sparking social media debates and think pieces, Biles clarified her husband’s comments during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast last month.

“First of all, that interview had nothing to do with me,” Biles stated emphatically. “He never said I wasn’t a catch. He said he was a catch because he is. I’ve never met a man like him. A lot of people that meet him are like, ‘Oh my gosh. I want a man like that, like Jonathan.’”

However, as the criticism persisted, Biles admitted that the discourse began to deeply affect her. “Then, like, one night, I broke down, and I’m like, ‘Why are you guys talking about my husband like this?’ …That really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that,” she revealed, according to People magazine. “Because for me, it’s like talk about me all you want, but don’t come for my family.”

Despite the negative attention, Biles and Owens continue to support each other wholeheartedly. Owens, a professional football player, celebrated his wife’s recent victory on Instagram, expressing his admiration for her accomplishments. Similarly, Biles acknowledged her husband’s unwavering support, calling him her “whole heart” and “the best supporter” in her own Instagram post.

As she gears up for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Biles remains steadfast in blocking out negativity. Addressing her critics directly, she warned, “If you keep commenting or tweeting at me I’m just going to block you. Simple as that. @ everyone else that supports us, we love y’all so much.”

SOURCE SPORTS: Simone Biles Appreciation Post

SOURCE SPORTS Simone Biles Appreciation Post Team USA

Simone Biles becomes the first woman to win 7 U.S. all-around titles. She now has more titles than any woman in U.S. history. Biles has not lost in all-around competition in eight years.

The 4 foot 8 record breaker is a 4-time Olympic gold medalist and has won every all-around championship she has competed in since 2013. With over 30 combined Olympic and World Champion medals, Biles is easily ranked as one of the most dominant gymnasts of the last 50 years.

Simone Biles has been defying the laws of physics since the 2019 US Gymnastics championships. If you don’t remember it was her epic triple double. A perfect three twists inside of two backflips that made history earning her a Gold medal. Now history is repeating itself with Biles nailing the Yurchenko double pike. Basically a roundoff entry with a half twist onto the table, followed by a laid-out somersault with two additional twists.

Black astronaut Victor Glover said, he can relate but didn’t come close to the ease that Biles displayed in the gym.

She’s a Texas native with a dual citizenship in Belize, who not only receives the love but gives it back. For instance, Simone lends her time and skills to help encourage and motivate the youth. Biles said recently in her cover story for Health Magazine “Representation matters, and we want to inspire the next generation to pursue their passion.” Simone continued, “Kids can come in and we will be training in the back, and they can see we are just like them. It helps them understand they can do it too.”

Former first lady and senator of the United States Hillary Clinton tweeted out in support  “As @Simone_Biles said at the 2016 Olympics:

I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps. I’m the first Simone Biles.”

For now Simone is prepping for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo and we’re all rooting for her to bring home more gold. You can catch her Facebook Watch Series Simone vs. Herself premiering July 15th.

Period: Simone Biles Says She Will Continue To Perform Difficult Moves ‘Because I Can’

Period: Simone Biles Says She Will Continue To Perform Difficult Moves 'Because I Can'

Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast in history because she continuously performs moves that are difficult and distinctive.

Some moves have even been named after her, yet Biles doesn’t seem to get the recognition she deserves by the judges.

The 24-year-old completed a Yurchenko double pike at the U.S. Classics over the weekend.

In the now-viral video, Biles is seen launching herself into a roundoff back handspring onto the vaulting table, and then propel herself high enough to give herself time to flip twice in a pike position (body folded, legs straight) before landing on her feet.

The move was named after Russian gymnast Natalia Yurchenko, and she’s never even attempted to do it in competition or any woman for that matter.

Although the crowd was in a frenzy, the judges weren’t impressed and gave her a measly score of 6.6, which is close to Biles’ other vaults.

“I feel like now we just have to get what we get because there’s no point in putting up a fight because they’re not going to reward it,” Simone Biles said of judges. “So we just have to take it and be quiet.”

“They’re both too low and they even know it,” Biles said of the rewards for her beam dismount and the double-pike vault. “But they don’t want the field to be too far apart. And that’s just something that’s on them. That’s not on me.”

Biles continued, “They had an open-ended code of points and now they’re mad that people are too far ahead and excelling.”

Despite not being properly awarded, Simone Biles plans to continue performing difficult vaults “because I can.”

*mic drops*

Fans will get a behind-the-scenes look as she continues to challenge herself as a gymnast in her upcoming Facebook Watch series, Simone vs Herself.

The 19-time World Champion and four-time Olympic gold medalist will highlight the peaks left to scale while balancing adversity such as the postponed Olympics and the challenges of success.

“My gymnastics career has been filled with a lot of ups and downs despite what a lot of people may think, and, in a lot of ways, my career has felt like I’ve been trying to prove myself to others,” Biles said of the show’s premise. “My mom has always encouraged me to be the ‘best Simone I can be’ and I now have a true appreciation for what that really means, which is one of the big reasons I wanted to come back for Tokyo. I want to challenge myself to be the best Simone I can be for me and, no matter the outcome, share with my fans the process and approach I am taking along the way in the hope that it may help inspire others to be the best version of themselves too.”

Simone Biles Calls Out USA Gymnastics After Birthday Wishes For Ignoring Sexual Assault Complaint

SK-II And Simone Biles Reveal ?VS? Series Teaser Film For Beauty Is #NOCOMPETITION

Source: Craig Barritt / Getty

Simone Biles recently enjoyed her birthday, but not before she had to gather the USA Gymnastic organization real quick.

On Saturday (Mar 15), the United States Gymnastics team decided to send out a tweet wishing the multi-time Olympic champion a happy 23rd birthday.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the most decorated gymnast of all time, @simonebiles!” USA Gymnastics (USAG) said in its tweet. “We know you will only continue to amaze us and make history!”

Despite being sent to the wrong account and the intention seemingly being sincere—Biles wasn’t having it. She fired back in a tweet, asking the organization to “amaze” her by following up on the sexual assault claim made regarding former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nasser who was convicted of sexual abusing over 300 women, including Biles.

“How about you amaze me and do the right thing [and] have an independent investigation,” Biles fired back on Twitter.

Although Nassar is now serving 300 years in prison after being sentenced in 2018, the case noted that women had began coming forward in 2015 and their cries fell on deaf ears for quite some time. After revealing she was also one of Nassar’s victims, Biles voiced her disappointment with USA Gymnastics and how they handled the issue in 2019, noting that the incident has made it tough for her to connect with new staff.

“It’s hard coming here for an organization having had them failed us so many times,” she told FOX reporters back in 2019. “And we had one goal and we’ve done everything that they’ve asked us for, even when we didn’t want to and they couldn’t do one damn job. You had one job. You literally had one job and you couldn’t protect us. They bring in new people all the time and I automatically put my foot up because the people that I had known for years had failed us.”

Faced with hundreds of lawsuits over its inability to protect girls in its care, USAG made a proposal last month that involved settling legal actions for a total of $215 million. The proposal would also release the USOPC, former USAG CEO Steve Penny and former national team directors Bela and Martha Karolyi from further liability.

In late February, Biles took to Twitter to voice her displeasure in the proposal while continuing her request for an independent investigation.

”Ugh at the airport. Heading to team camp. Still want answers from USAG and USOPC. Wish they BOTH wanted an independent investigation as much as the survivors & I do,” Biles wrote. “And don’t THEY also want to know HOW everything was allowed to happen and WHO let it happen so it NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN? Shouldn’t people be held accountable?”

Despite the horrific incident that took place, Biles shared that she is definitely working on her healing; noting that therapy has helped although she’s still taking things one day at a time.

”Everyone’s healing process is different and I think that’s the hardest part,” she said. “Because I feel like maybe I should be healed or this or that. But I feel like it will be an open wound for a really long time and it might not ever get closed or healed.”
