Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III made a splash into Hip-Hop and will be this week’s number one album on the Billboard 200.
The third installment in the Dreamers series will take the top spot with 115,000 equivalent album units. 23,000 of those are from traditional album sales.

The album brought in the entire Dreamville roster and also features Buddy, Smino, DaBaby, Kendrick Lamar, Dreezy, T.I. and plenty of additional artists. Revenge III brought together a collective of artists and producers for a 10-day all in recording session.
Roc Nation’s J. Cole just doubled up his daddy duties. The hip-hop veteran has relied on his new Revenge of the Dreamers III album to reveal he’s low-key gearing up for another mini-me.
On the project’s final track – “Sacrifices” – Cole raps about having a baby on the way with wife Melissa Heholt.
“I had nowhere to go, she gave me a place to stay/She gave me her heart to hold/I still got that sh-t to this day,” he raps. “She gave me the gift of my son/and plus we got one on the way,” he reveals, adding, “She gave me a family to love, for that, I can never repay/ I’m crying while writing these words, the tears, they feel good on my face.” (“Sacrifices”)
“For a while, I felt a little weird about it. Like, nah. I felt, ‘Did I miss something?’ ‘Cause I didn’t feel the change that people talk about. And then I figured out what it was. … I changed my life in order to get ready to have a family and to have a son. I literally changed my life, where I was living, the things that I was doing. I changed,” he explained. “So because of that, when my son came, I was ready. I already made room.” (GQ)
Back in 2015, Cole low-key tied the knot to his longtime bae Melissa Heholt.
J. Cole, whose real name is Jermaine Cole, and Heholt, 31, married in 2015 and are already parents to one son. The couple did not confirm they had a son until Cole’s 2018 interview with radio DJ Angie Martinez, during which he said his purpose in life was “to be a father and a husband.” “But I feel like I’ve created a life where my purpose is too much placed in music,” he added in the interview. “When I’m home and I come home, outside of like playing with my son, if I go three days without doing music, making a beat, writing a song…I start to feel like, miserable.” (People)
Dreamville and J. Cole have come through big for fans ahead of Independence Day. After mounted anticipation, the nearly 30-minute documentary centered on the Revenge of the Dreamers III studio sessions has arrived.
J. Cole and the Dreamville team are preparing for a good week ahead, as the collective’s highly-anticipated group album Revenge of the Dreamers III will officially be dropping this coming Friday.
The news also comes with a pair of just-announced new singles dropping at 9PM EST — “Lambo Truck” with Cozz, Reason and Childish Major, plus “Costa Rica” featuring a Super Smash Bros-size collab consisting of Bas, J.I.D, Guapdad 4000, Reese LAFLARE, Jace, Mez, Smokepurpp, Buddy and Ski Mask the Slump God. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a limited run of merch that features a graphic print of the ROTD III logo in a similar black, yellow and white color theme of the album rollout. Included in the set is a T-Shirt, hoodie, strapback cap and a vinyl edition of the album. Each purchase will come with a digital edition of ROTD 3 that will immediately be emailed when it officially drops.

In September 2018, Cole decided to postpone the festival for safety reasons with Hurricane Florence approaching.
Mannn. Due to this Hurricane heading to NC, we have to cancel Dreamville Festival. We’re working to get another date, but right now safety is most important. I appreciate everybody that was headed to rock with us. 30,000 + were expected.
