Tom Brady is undeniable the most accomplished quarterbacks in NFL history, but the goat might be gone.

Brady, who is 44-years-old, didn’t talk about retirement after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, but he did open up on Monday.

On Monday, Brady talked about the idea of life after football on his Let’s Go Podcast. Joining Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, the Goat revealed that he’s seriously considering retirement.

Brady told Jim Gray most of his decision will come down to how his football career affects his family.

“It pains her to see me get hit out there,” Brady said of his wife Gisele Bündchen, as transcribed by the Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud. “And she deserves what she needs from me as a husband and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad.”

He added, “I said this a few years ago, it’s what relationships are all about.  It’s not always what I want.  It’s what we want as a family.  And I’m gonna spend a lot of time with them and figure out in the future what’s next.”

Brady and the Buccaneers lost a heart-breaker to the Rams, falling 30-27 after a late rally fell short when Matthew Stafford led a last-second field-goal drive.

“It’s tough to lose a game that comes down to the end like that, but it’s just the reality of pro football,” Brady said on Sunday. “It’s a tough sport, it’s tough to win, it’s tough to win these games, it’s tough to win the next week’s games, it’s tough to win two weeks after that.”

On Monday, Brady told Gray the Buccaneers deserve his best and that he should step aside if he feels like he’s giving anything less.

“Playing football, I get so much joy from, I love it,” Brady said. “But not playing football, there’s a lot of joy in that for me also now, too, with my kids getting older and seeing them develop and grow.  So all these things need to be considered and they will be.”

Teyana Taylor Retired From Music Because She Felt Unappreciated At G.O.O.D. Music

Even though she released one of the best projects in 2018 Teyana Taylor didn’t feel comfortable at her recording home. She now says she left the game due to G.O.O.D. Music’s lack of support.

As spotted on Yahoo! Entertainment, the Harlem native is shedding more light on why her critically acclaimed album K.T.S.E. was her last. During a recent appearance on Sip ‘N Smoke, she revealed to Cam Newton her decision to retire from the music industry.

“At the end of the day, I’m a mom first,” she explained. “A mom, a wife, a woman. And I think for me, I put in a lot of work. I work very, very hard. So, if you feel unheard and unseen—like how I said earlier with my husband. He sees me, he hears me. I take that sh*t serious. Everything that I do. So if you’re my husband, or I’m signed, everybody that I’m aligned with should see me. They should hear me. They should feel me. If you don’t see me, hear me, or feel me, it’s a dub for you.”

The “Never Would Have Made It” singer went on to say that she felt very unappreciated at her record label.

“And I felt like the label wasn’t really hearing me and seeing me,” she continued. “I felt underappreciated. So, for my mental health, my mental well-being, for my kids, let me just put this on ice for a little [bit]. It’s not that I retired permanently. It’s more like, I just don’t feel like I want to move another inch for a company.”

Today marks the end of one of the most popular nationally-syndicated shows on daytime radio in The Tom Joyner Morning Show. Tom Joyner will call an end to a long broadcasting career and in a new interview, the “Fly Jock” shares what’s next as he heads off into the twilight.

Sitting down with CBS This Morning, Joyner, 70, shared part of his journey into becoming one of the top radio DJs of his era. Joyner shared the root of his nickname, which he earned after hosting a morning radio show in Dallas, and an afternoon show in Chicago.

From CBS:

“Our thing has always been to empower people. But to empower, we have to first entertain,” Joyner told CBS News correspondent Jericka Duncan. “If I’ve got you laughing, I’ve got you listening.”

Entertainment and empowerment have paid off. At his peak, Joyner said he was pulling in $14 million a year.

“But it got to a point where they would – ‘All right, we’re gonna cut your salary in half.’ ‘Okay.’ ‘And then in half.’ ‘Okay.’ And then in half two years ago,” Joyner said. “Because my salary was based on my results, and not only was I losing affiliates but radio industry as a whole was losing traction.”

“If you had been offered more money, would you have stayed longer?” Duncan asked.

“Heck yeah. Shoot, I – my goal was to die on the radio. Have my funeral on the radio,” Joyner said with a laugh.

One entertainment’s most iconic figures is calling it quits. Berry Gordy had confirmed that he is stepping away from music.

Vibe is reporting that the Motown Records founder has announced his official retirement. He alerted his peers at the 60th-year celebration of Motown. “I have come full circle. It is only appropriate (to announce this) while here in Detroit, the city where my fairy tale happened with all of you”. He went on to admit that this move has long been on his mind saying he has “dreamed about it, talked about, threatened it”.

On January 12, 1959 Gordy founded the label and would grow the company as an R&B soul powerhouse by discovering and developing legendary acts like Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, The Four Tops and The Jackson 5. Additionally he proved to be a formidiable contributor behind the scenes penning hits such as “Lonely Teardrops”, “Shop Around” and “Do You Love Me”. Injury Prone Andrew Luck Announces Retirement From NFL [Video]

Cleveland Browns v Indianapolis Colts

Source: Michael Hickey / Getty

Big talent doesn’t always translate into titles and football has reminded us about that cold hard fact yet again. Once of the NFL’s brightest stars is calling it quits.

As spotted on Deadspin Andrew Luck has officially retired. The starting quarterback is putting his health as his main priority. ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the story over Twitter on August 24.

During his press conference, Luck cited that he has experienced a number of severe injuries over the span of his career including a ruptured kidney and multiple issues with his ankle. In short his love for the game isn’t what it used to be.

“I felt stuck and the only way out of it is to no longer play football,” Luck said. “It’s taken my joy away from the game.” His decision not marks the end of what many analysts thought would be the second coming of Payton Manning but also a lucrative contract. But in a classy move the Colts will let him keep the almost 25 million dollars he was given as part of his five-year extension.

The Washington DC native was drafted as the number one pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2012. He ends his run with 23,671 passing yards, 171 touchdowns, 83 interceptions with the team. Additionally he has four Pro Bowl appearances.

You can view how heartfelt resignation below.
