The Dipset lieutenant began his stint behind bars for his bizarre gun charge.
Juelz Santana, whose real name is LaRon James, turned himself in at Petersen Medium Federal Correctional Facility in Hopewell, Virginia yesterday. This is where Santana will begin to serve his two year and three month sentence for attempting to board an airplane with a loaded gun.
James was set to begin his sentence January 30, but the judge granted him a brief leave until the last day of February. He was sentenced in December of 2018 after TSA officials found a loaded .25 semi-automatic pistol and several unprescribed Oxycontin pills in his carry-on luggage at Newark International Airport. Santana fled from the airport in a taxi, but turned himself in several days later.
Santana was also sentenced to 12 months supervised probation upon his release.
