Good Sport: Nelson Agholor Invites Philly Hero Who Shaded Him To Eagles Game

Nelson Agholor Invites Philly Hero, Hakim Laws To Eagles Game

Look at Nelson Agholor making lemonade out of lemons. Instead of being sour about the local Philly hero, Hakim Laws shading him, he extended an invite to the good samaritan to an Eagles game.

The moment which is going to go down as one of the best sports-related soundbites had the internet reacting. Laws brilliantly hit Agholor with a low blow while breaking down how he and his friend saved babies from a burning building. A lesser man would have reacted by responding back in some shady way, in today’s case, a social media clap back. Unlike the Philly hero, Agholor decided to go high and reward the Philly hero for his heroic efforts and invited Laws and his family to the Philadelphia Eagles next home game.

“Thank you for being a hero in the community, would like to invite you and your family to the next home game. Twitter help me out and get me in touch with him.”

Laws’ well-timed shade of the receiver was a direct result of Agholor dropping eight passes in a recent game. This is a prime but scarce example of when something good comes from the apparent shade. Shoutout to Nelson Agholor for being a good sport in the matter and extending one hell of an olive branch to Laws and his family.

Unlike Agholor: Philly Hero Blasts Eagles WR Nelson Agholor After Rescuing Babies From Fire

NFL: SEP 22 Lions at Eagles

A Philadelphia man has dropped one of the best sports-related soundbites of the year, this after he assisted in the rescue of babies from a house fire. While talking with reporters, the man took a shot at Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor, who dropped some key passes in the team’s loss to the Detroit Lions.

As posted and shared by CBS Philly executive producer Steve Lindsay, an as of yet unidentified Philadelphia man is seen in the video clip explaining how he helped firefighters rescue babies from a burning home. Towards the end of explaining how a man was tossing babies out the window while other good samaritans caught them, Agholor’s troubles on the field came into play.

“My man just started throwing babies out the window and we was catching em, unlike Agholor,” the man said with obvious disgust after the squad lost Sunday (September 22) 27-24.

The video clip, which Lindsay dubbed as the “most Philly soundbite” has gone viral. We’ve got some of the reactions below.

Philadelphia 76ers’ Mike Scott Mollywhops Tailgating Eagles Fans [Video]

Philadelphia 76ers v Brooklyn Nets - Game Three

Philadelphia 76ers forward Mike Scott is a diehard fan of the Washington NFL team. Apparently, some Philadelphia Eagles fans wanted the smoke, and the NBA player came through and delivered some exacting fades.

Per ESPN, Scott was involved in an altercation with Eagles fans on Sunday (Sept. 8) outside Lincoln Financial Field while he was rocking a Washington’s NFL team jersey (Scott is VA native who played his college ball at UVA). Footage that has hit the Internets shows Scott handily mollywhopping at least a few Eagles fans as they try to attack him.

Our very light Twitter investigation shows that Philly fans brought coffin to the tailgate that had a jersey atop it (some speculate it was a Sean Taylor jersey but that is unconfirmed). In the same clip Scott is seen none too happy and ready for the action.

By the looks of one Philly fan who caught a haymaker that sent him to the floor, they were not ready.

Of course, word got back to the Sixers. “We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more information,” said the Sixers via a statement. “We will have no further comment at this time”

Scott signed a 2-year contract with the team in July.

At least one Eagles fan is rational.
