A Boogie wit da Hoodie to Releases New Single “Ballin’” on NBA 2K23

A Boogie wit da Hoodie to Releases New Single "Ballin'" on NBA 2K23

A Boogie wit da Hoodie will have a brand-new, unheard song on the NBA® 2K23 soundtrack before the release of his album, Me vs. Myself. The song is titled “Ballin’.”

Some of the most well-known musicians in the world now choose to showcase their newest tracks in-game before releasing it elsewhere, turning the NBA 2K soundtrack into a platform for discovering new songs and new artists.

With the inaugural installment of the NBA 2K Producer Series, which includes a beat by Grammy Award-winning producer BoogzDaBeast, Season 2 also encourages the community to display their own skills. While playing the game, users can record their own verses over the beat and post them to social media.

The Season 2 album for NBA 2K will soon include previously unheard songs from Connie Diamond Feat. Damian “Dame D.O.L.L.A.” Lillard and Dave East in addition to “Ballin.”

Ronnie 2K Calls DeMarcus Cousins A D*ck During Live Stream, Twitter Wants Him Fired

Ronnie 2K Calls DeMarcus Cousins A D*ck During Live Stream, Twitter Reacts

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz

Ronnie 2K is trending on Twitter right now, and it has nothing to do with the recently announced NBA 2K tournament that will feature NBA players taking on each other.

Ronnie Singh, aka Ronnie 2K, 2K’s Director of Digital Marketing, is currently catching heat on Twitter after he unknowingly, we assume, called DeMarcus Cousins a d*ck during a live stream. While the camera was still hot, a visibly frustrated Singh was upset Cousins didn’t receive a package needed to partake in the upcoming NBA 2K Players Only Tournament.

“Cousins is such a d–k. I could see him just being like, ‘I don’t wanna f–kin’ do this. Not to mention his matchup would be annoyed too,”

Twitter users immediately pointed out that:

  1.  DeMarcus Cousins will “launch Singh into the sun.”
  2.  He needs to be fired.

Wow, people really don’t like Ronnie 2K that much? Apparently so because this wasn’t the first time social media called for Singh to lose his job. When NBA 2K20 first launched, people were not happy with Ronnie calling him a liar prior to the game’s release he said some statements that turned out to be not true.

Cousins did respond back only using a gif of the famous interrogation scene from the hood classic Menace II Society.

We expect a full apology from Singh when he finds out he’s trending for all the wrong reasons. You don’t want to be DeMarcus Cousins’ bad side either. Hit the gallery to see all the reactions to Ronnie calling Boogie a d*ck below.

Watch: Kevin Durant + Steve Stoute Reveal 10 New Musicians Added To NBA 2K20 Soundtrack

Steve Stoute Kevin Durant NBA 2K20 Clip

The NBA 2K20 soundtrack is getting packed with more audio heat. Today, NBA 2K revealed the Top 10 additions to the star-studded line-up hand-picked by Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant and music executive Steve Stoute. Watch and comment below!

2K and UnitedMasters today announced the 10 winners of a global contest who will have their songs added to the NBA 2K20 in-game soundtrack.  Announced in July, the contest gave artists from around the world the chance to submit songs to UnitedMasters for the opportunity to be featured on the in-game soundtrack. This is the first-time users and fans of NBA 2K have been able to submit their own music to be included in an official soundtrack for the video game.

“2K is proud to be a leading music platform for established and up-and-coming artists,” said Alfie Brody, vice president of marketing for NBA 2K. “We strongly feel that music is integral to the NBA 2K experience and we are excited to offer our players a dynamically updated in-game soundtrack, which now includes these aspiring artists.”

The contest received over 10,000 song submissions from artists throughout the world. 2K and UnitedMasters narrowed the tracks down to a top-25 list with Steve Stoute, UnitedMasters Founder and CEO, and 10x NBA All-Star and 2x NBA Champion, Kevin Durant, selecting the 10 winners to be added to the game

“The NBA 2K soundtrack consistently showcases the best artists, and we’re excited that these UnitedMasters artists have the opportunity to bring their music to millions of new listeners. We expect that this is just the beginning for these talented musicians,” said Steve Stoute, founder and CEO of UnitedMasters. “We’re very proud to work with such a culturally significant and influential game like NBA 2K to showcase these artists and can’t wait for the millions of gamers to hear the next generation of music talent.”

“Music and basketball were always an important part of my life. I think what Steve is doing at UnitedMasters is amazing. If I can help put these talented artists with NBA 2K then it’s all comes full circle to music and ball for me,” said Kevin Durant.

Upon hearing he would be featured on the soundtrack, UM Artist Quantrelle added“I thought it was dope because I planned on using a different distribution service to get my music out, but management suggested UnitedMasters and to see what they have done with momentum is a true testament on how UnitedMasters can help propel your career.”

UM Artist Fourtee reacted upon hearing the news said, “Honestly, it was an out of body experience. It felt unreal, but thank God I have really high expectations for my music.”

The launch track list for this year’s in-game soundtrack was revealed in July at ComplexCon in Chicago and is available to enjoy in-game and on Spotify. In addition to these 10 songs, the soundtrack will continue to be dynamically updated with new tracks over the coming months.

NBA 2K Partners with UnitedMasters to Develop Soundtrack, Spark Worldwide Search for New Talent

NBA 2K20 took center stage at ComplexCon in Chicago and announced the soundtrack for the upcoming video game. The game experience will have a curated 50 songs from the 2K team and Steve Stoute’s UnitedMasters bringing Drake, Meek Mill, the late Nipsey Hussle and more to video gaming consoles.

Taking the soundtrack to a new arena, UnitedMasters will host a search for the hottest tracks of rising artists to add to the soundtrack overtime. The tracks will be judged by Stoute along with the 2K team and a celebrity judging panel.

During ComplexCon, Stoute, along with Don C, Karl Anthony-Towns and Paul Rivera announced the soundtrack.

“NBA 2K has become a centerpiece of culture and sports for the gaming community, with the soundtrack playing a significant role in its success,” said Steve Stoute, Founder, and CEO of Translation and United Masters. “Artists can now get discovered and launch their careers by having a song featured. UnitedMasters will open that opportunity to independent artists and help curate the next generation of talent. This year’s soundtrack will be updated constantly with new exciting music from the next generation rising stars to give you something you never heard before.”

The Source was also was able to speak with Stoute regarding the UnitedMasters and NBA 2K collaboration.

UnitedMasters is proving to be the premier platform for independent artists. What does it mean for you to continue to expand the services that you can offer rising artists, such as this partnership with NBA 2K?
Stoute: Being able to give artist simple turnkey opportunities to get their music discovered was my original plan for Independent artist who distributed through Unitedmasters. We launched with the NBA, then we launched the app which gives artists a “record company in your pocket” and now we partnered with 2K. We have many more partnership announcements coming soon.

Adding on the soundtrack, UnitedMasters and 2K will be heading this global search to add to the soundtrack. For those who will be submitting, what tips can you provide or what are some sounds that you will be looking for to match the user experience?
Were looking for talent, naturally because it’s basketball we want tempo for these submissions, however, if you can rap, sing regardless of genre or country, we have an opportunity for you.

Beyond the soundtrack will there be an opportunity for future UnitedMasters collaboration for those artists who are chosen?
There isn’t a predetermined effort for the artist on collaboration, however, we will be developing products in our app where artist on our platform can collaborate.

The NBA 2K20 soundtrack features “Sandra’s Rose” from Drake, “Play Wit Ya” from Dreezy, “Grinding All My Life” from Nipsey Hussle, “Uptown Vibes” from Meek Mill, and more. You can stream the entire soundtrack below. NBA 2K20 drops on September 6.
