Naya Rivera's Younger Sister Defends Living With her Late Sister's Ex-Husband and Nephew

Dailymail broke the story that Naya Rivera’s younger sister, Nickayla Rivera, and her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, have been consoling each other since the Glee star passed. They even moved in together to raise Dorsey and Naya’s five-year-old son.

Many people dragged Nickayla for getting inappropriately close with her sister’s ex-husband shortly after she died. But the 25-year-old clapped back on Instagram. “In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family,” she said. “Showing up for my nephew even though I can’t show up for myself.”

She added that she’s not concerned with the perception of her living with Dorsey. “I’m not concerned with the way things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure,” she continued. “What matters most I’ve learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others, & never take a moment of life for granted. I hope you all can do the same.”

Naya Rivera died on July 8th from drowning in Lake Piru and about two months later, her sister is shacked up with her son and ex-husband in a three-bedroom San Fernando Valley home.

Naya Riviera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, and her younger sister have been inseparable since the actress drowned.

The Daily Mail reported that the pair moved into a three-bedroom rented California home to take care of Dorsey’s five-year-old son with the Glee star.

The outlet uploaded exclusive photos of Nickayla Rivera helping Dorsey move from his North Hills home to the $5,000 rental they share 30 minutes away.

“They were fooling around and chatting the whole time. They’re obviously helping lift each other’s spirits,” an eyewitness said.

Both of their lives changed forever following the untimely passing of Naya Rivera, and Nickayla presumably is playing the role of a caretaker for her nephew.

However, it may be inappropriate that they’re now living together and we won’t be surprised if they grow closer from their trauma bond and become a couple.

Big Sean Says It Was Hurtful When People Referenced His Breakup Song IDFWU Following Naya Riveras Death

Big Sean and the late Naya Rivera were engaged for a short period of time, and their public breakup inspired his catchy tune, “IDFWU.”

Sean did an interview with Vulture in promotion of his upcoming Detroit 2 album and he addressed his ex-lover’s death, which he admits he’s “still processing a lot of that.” 

“She’s made such an impact on people, and she’s done so many great things in her life and her career that it was hurtful to even have that [song] be associated with her,” he said. “It wasn’t a diss to her. I truly made the song and played it for her. She knew about it, and she liked it.”

He gave more insight into their relationship citing that they were young and public opinions didn’t help their situation. “We had a breakup that was very public, and we were young and we forgave each other and moved on from that. If I would have known something this tragic would have happened, I would have never made the song,” he added.

After the Glee actress’ passing, Big Sean wrote a heartfelt tribute to her on his Instagram. “Rest In Peace Naya, God Bless your Soul! Thank you for blessing us all with your talent and presence. you are a hero! Not just because of how you saved your son, also because of the barriers you knocked down for so many people to make them feel confident in themselves and to stand tall and be proud when they couldn’t achieve that on their own.” He added, “I appreciate and cherish everything that ever happened between us for making me wiser and a better person. I’m still grieving and in shock, I can’t believe this is real. I’m praying for you and your family and I know your watching over them and protecting them. Rest In Peace Naya 💙🙏🏾”
