Meek Mill and Michael Rubin Help Free Man Unjustly Incarcerated by Judge Brinkley

Meek Mill’s legal struggles, specifically with Judge Genece Brinkley, have been detailed for years, but the rapper and Michael Rubin recently just help free 29-year-old Philadelphia Maurice Hudson from prison Friday. Hudson was unjustly incarcerated due to Judge Brinkley.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Judge Brinkley sentenced Hudson to one and a half to three years in prison because he was unable to pay $1,941 in outstanding court costs. Hudson was currently working as a janitor and was using his salary to help his two special-needs daughters. The publication reports Judge Brinkley ignored his situation.

The duo of Meek and Michael hard about the story, leading to the latter of the two paying the $2,148.59 in court costs and the two holding a press conference in regards to the release.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court would order the release of Hudson, where he was picked up by REFORM Alliance CEO Van Jones among others. As a welcome home celebration, Rubin and his Philadelphia 76ers partner Josh Harris hosted Hudson as a VIP guest as the Sixers battled the Spurs Saturday night.

Meek Mill made sure Hudson and his family had new clothes from fashion designer Milano di Rouge and items from PUMA. Meek would also ensure that Hudson would receive the basic necessities for his family, assist his transition back into society and further assistance in securing employment.
