R. Kelly Has ‘No Real Sense of Relief’ After Chicago Sex Crimes Charges Dropped

R. Kelly in Court federal child pornography

In the case against R. Kelly, a Chicago prosecutor declared that her office would drop the sexual assault allegations against the famous R&B singer. The Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx stated the charges are dropped after Kells had already been convicted of two federal crimes and “is looking at the possibility of never walking out of prison again.”

2019 saw Foxx calling for Kelly’s victims to come forward and expressing concern that people who had come forward against Kelly “may be disappointed” by the most recent disclosure.

“Mr. Kelly is potentially looking at the possibility of never walking out of prison again for the crimes that he’s committed,” Foxx said, referring to his other federal convictions. “While today’s cases are no longer being pursued, we believe justice has been served.”

How does Kelly feel? No relief at all. His attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, spoke with TMZ and stated it was the right move but ultimately did nothing.

“There is no real sense of relief,” Bonjean said. “He is still fighting for his life. He is facing decades in prison.”

Foxx doubled down in justice being served, which you can see below.

R. Kelly Sex Assault Hotline Besieged By Clout Chasers?

R. Kelly Back In Court For Aggravated Sexual Abuse Charges

At the top of the year, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx established a hotline for the alleged victims of R. Kelly to report any sexual misconduct or wrongdoing. The hotline has been slammed with calls of folks boasting of their sexual experiences with the R&B singer along with men claiming they have dirt on him as well.

TMZ
reports:

Sources close to the case tell TMZ … the hotline Kim Foxx set up in January for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office — so alleged Kelly victims could report their claims — is being exploited by folks who want to report something else — their sexual experiences with him.

We’re told the hotline has gotten dozens of calls from mostly women, who phone in to inform prosecutors they slept with Kelly … with some bragging about it or detailing multiple trysts.

Our sources say some men called in as well … to gossip about women they know that allegedly banged Kelly.

Despite a large number of callers, much of what was shared on the hotline has been deemed irrelevant and thus can’t be used to bring further charges against Kelly.

The singer is already embroiled in one sexual assault lawsuit case along with three other women bringing official charges.

R. Kelly’s Lawyer Requests Information on Lawyer Michael Avenatti and State Attorney Kim Foxx

R. Kelly returned to court in Chicago today and his attorney, Steven Greenberg, has requested information on recently arrested opposing lawyer Michael Avenatti, specifically his relationship with Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx.

Foxx is under fire after the recent dismissal of Jussie Smollett with officials ranging from the mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emmanuel, to President of the United States, Donald Trump, requesting further investigation. TMZ states Greenberg would like to receive communications between Foxx and Avenatti, as the former received two sex tapes that are apart of the indictment against the “Ignition” singer.

In addition to the request for communications, legal counsel for Kelly have mentioned the extortion charges for Avenatti along with stating Foxx can “be influenced and wowed,” citing the Jussie Smollett recuse. Greenberg ultimately states Foxx’s charges against Kelly could be by manipulation by Avenatti.

The original request to travel, specifically to Dubai, has been withdrawn.
