A shooting turned deadly inside a Louisville nightclub where area rapper Jack Harlow was in attendance. The incident left one person dead and another injured after an apparent argument took place inside the establishment.

According to local outlet Courier-Journal, the shooting took place early Saturday morning (May 1) at the Vibes Restaurant and Ultra Lounge as part of a Kentucky Derby weekend event. As reported by the outlet, officers arrived at around 1:30 a.m. at the nightclub and discovered a woman was dead from a gunshot wound with another man suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

As spotted by TMZ, Jack Harlow was in the building enjoying the scene as captured by an attendee’s smartphone. Off to Harlow’s right, the video clip shows a man and a woman arguing, and suddenly, a gunshot goes off while the partygoers scramble. It isn’t known if the victim of the shooting is the woman in the video. We will not share that video here due to its graphic nature.

LMPD officials say that they’re on the lookout for the suspect who carried out the shooting and is asking the public to assist with the investigation.

Beyoncé Pens Letter to Kentucky Attorney General Calling for the Arrest of the Cops Who Killed Breonna Taylor

Beyonce

You have seen it everywhere: “Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor.” Those officers are still free currently but Beyoncé is also continuing the pressure applied to get justice.

Queen Bey wrote an open letter to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron in the request of charges to the officers involved in the shooting.

“Three months have passed — and zero arrests have been made, and no officers have been fired. The LMPD’s investigation was turned over to your office, and yet all of the officers involved in the shooting remain employed by the LMPD,” Beyonce wrote in the open letter.  “Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and Officers’ Myles Cosgrove and Brett Hankison must be held accountable for their actions.”

In an “urge” to exercise his abilities, Beyoncé suggests Cameron brings criminal charges against the three officers Jonathan Mattingly, Myles Cosgrove, and Brett Hankison. She also suggests transparency in the investigation and procession of the officers criminal conducts and to “Investigate the LMPD’s response to Breonna Taylor’s murder, as well as the pervasive practices that result in the peated deaths of unarmed Black citizens.”

You can see the full letter here.

Kentucky Man Named Tupac Shakur Accused Of Fraud After Filing For Unemployment

When you have the same name as one of the biggest icons of the 20th century who is no longer alive, people are bound to accuse you of scamming but this wasn’t the case this week in Kentucky.

46 year old Tupac Shakur became a centerpiece of conversation in Kentucky after Governor Andy Beshear erroneously used him as an example of people attempting poke fun at the state’s unemployment system.

“We had somebody apply for unemployment for Tupac Shakur here in Kentucky,” said Beshear. “And that person may have thought they were being funny, they probably did. Except for the fact that because of them, we had to go through so many other claims.”

The Lexington, KY resident said he wanted an apology from the Governor for making such a spectacle about his name. “I’ve been struggling for like the last month trying to figure out how to pay the bills,” adding, “I’m hurt, I’m really embarrassed and I’m shocked. He needs to apologize. That’s just my name.”

Gov. Bashear did actually call Shakur to apologize, who responded with the grace and forgiveness after the convo between the restaurant worker and the politician. “I understand, he’s dealing with a lot,” said Shakur. “Mistakes happen.”

Get The Strap: Woman Shot Up KFC Drive-Thru Due To Missing Napkins & Fork

KFC

Source: Splash / Splash News

Is Kentucky trying to rival Florida when it comes to all-out f*ckery? For your consideration, a woman shot up a KFC drive-thru because they forgot to give her a knife and fork.

Yes, this really did happen, in Kentucky.

WLKY reports that Shelbyville police are investigating what caused a woman to shoot up a KFC, leaving it closed this past Monay (Oct. 28). Shelbyville PD confirmed they were dispatched to a shooting, but didn’t add further details.

But according to witnesses, the patron shot through the drive-thru window after not receiving a fork and napkin. Currently, there are no details on what she ordered or if what she received was correct. Just saying.

“First and foremost we are grateful that no one was injured. We are working with local authorities as they investigate the incident,” a KFC spokesman told WLKY.

There are cameras around the restaurant but no photos have been released, yet.

New developments have surfaced in the case of a shooting at a Kentucky Kroger supermarket that left two people dead and the arrest of the gunman, Gregory Bush. The victims were recently identified as a Black man and a Black woman, adding weight to a suspicion that the killing was racially motivated.

Local outlet and CNN affiliate WDRB reports:

The two people killed Wednesday — Maurice Stallard and Vickie Jones — were shot in the grocery store and the parking lot, respectively. CNN affiliate WDRB described both victims as black.

Police arrested suspect Gregory A. Bush, 51, shortly after the shooting, which happened in the Louisville suburb of Jeffersontown.

The outlet adds that Bush attempted to enter a predominately Black church just 10 to 15 minutes before carrying out his crime in Jeffersontown according to surveillance video. Bush was hindered from potentially carrying out a larger shooting attempt as the doors to the church were closed but people were inside.

“To think that an hour and a half earlier, we had 70 people in the church,” church administrator Billy Williams told WDRB. “But by the time he came through, all doors were locked, and there were probably eight or 10 still in the building.”

WDRB adds that Bush has a record of mental illness and for making racist comments online.

Bush is facing two counts of murder and 10 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment among other charges.

Two people are dead and a suspect is in custody after a gunman opened fired at a Kentucky Kroger supermarket in a town just outside of the city of Louisville. The son of the bystander said his father, who was armed, confronted the gunman who reportedly said “whites don’t kill whites” to the man before he was later apprehended.

The Courier-Journal reports:

Eric Deacon was paying for his groceries Wednesday afternoon at Kroger just off Hurstbourne Parkway when he heard “a loud bang.” It sounded like a wood pallet slamming to the floor.

That’s when he saw a man in a neon sweatshirt racing past him, firing a gun back toward another man who was chasing him. Deacon hit the ground, and soon the men were shooting back and forth at each other in the parking lot.

“About that time, a lady came around the corner and got hit,” said Deacon, an EMT who shielded himself from gunfire in the front of the store behind a wall as he spoke to 911.

After police arrived, Deacon went over to administer CPR to the woman.

“When I looked at her, she was gone,” he said. “There was nothing I could do.”

The violence that unfolded on Wednesday at a Kroger grocery store in a busy Jeffersontown shopping center left two people dead, a suspect in custody and police searching for a motive.

In an interview with local outlet Wave3, Steve Zinninger said that his father confronted the gunman by drawing his own weapon. Zinninger said that the man told his father, “don’t shoot me and I won’t shoot you. Whites don’t kill whites.”

The identities of the victims and suspect have not been released to the public.
