Joel Olsteen to Host Virtual Easter Sunday Service With Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry

Joel Olsteen is trying his best to bring holiday cheer this Easter weekend while practicing social distancing in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The renowned pastor and televangelist joined forces with Kanye West to bring a virtual Sunday Service. Olsteen doesn’t have too many details on the surprise (of course) but Ye confirmed that he and his choir would be practicing social distancing.

Mariah Carey would reportedly sing “Hero” via webcam as a tribute to “medical professionals and first responders putting their lives on the line in the battle against COVID-19,” as per the official website.

Tyler Perry plans to “deliver words of encouragement” during these dark times.

West and Joel Olsteen planned to link up for a Sunday Service at the Yankee Stadium in May. But we’re just hoping to be allowed outside and somewhat revert back to our “normal” lives at this point.

Kanye West and Joel Olsteen Aiming for National Tour

It isn’t Watch the Throne, but Kanye West is seemingly ready to tour the country with a new partner, Joel Olsteen.

West and Olsteen first appeared together at Lakewood Church in Texas and now are looking to cover the states, starting with Yankee Stadium on May 2. TMZ details Kanye will be in charge of the music, while Olsteen carries the message.

After the show in the Bronx, the two will aim for another experience at the Guaranteed Rate Field on the south side of Chicago in September. After that Miami, Detroit and Los Angeles are target dates.

Kanye West Set to Speak at Joel Olsteen’s Church This Sunday

Kanye West’s visit to the Lakewood Church in Houston, which is pastored by Joel Osteen is set to happen this Sunday.

TMZ details Ye will be on hand for both the morning and night services on Sunday. Kanye will be on hand at the 11 a.m. service for a conversation with Olsteen about his devotion to God that will last between 20 and 30 minutes. At the night service, Kanye will have his Sunday Service choir on hand for a performance.

Sources detail Olsteen wants Kanye to share with his 45,000 member congregation and the 10 million viewers on tv how Kanye “overcome significant adversity in his life.”

Another source stated, “Kanye used to be about nothing greater than himself. Now it’s all about a higher power.”

The service will be broadcast live on SiriusXM and you can get a sense of Olsteen’s services below.
