76ers Owner Michael Rubin States Judge Genece Brinkley Caused Meek Mill to Miss a $450K Check

During an interview with Outside the Lines, co-owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, Michael Rubin, revealed Meek Mill missed a $450,000 paycheck due to the terms of his probation.

The Hip-Hop community is well aware of the struggles that Meek Mill endures due to the confines of his probation and authorizations required for travel. The Championships rapper’s travel request is to be granted by his case’s president judge, Genece Brinkley, who allegedly intentionally mishandled an approval by a deadline.

Rubin states Brinkley knew Meek needed his approval to travel to Dubai for a performance by March 15, however, she did not return the approved request until March 19, allowing a travel window of April 3-7. Ultimately, Meek had to miss the booking and not collect on a hefty sum of $450,000.

Brinkley also allegedly denied a request for Meek to travel with the Sixers to Toronto to support their playoff duel with the Raptors. Rubin called out the judge on Instagram:

“Judge Genece Brinkley – I know you have a vendetta against Meek Mill and are obsessed with trying to control every aspect of his life, but did you really NOT approve him to go to rep the Sixers in Toronto for the game?”

Drake also showed support for Meek’s travel troubles stating: “They gotta let Meek into the city it’s only right … we got a classic series on our hands.”

Meek Mill was on hand when the Sixers returned for two games in Philly and also recently celebrated his 32nd birthday.

Meek Mill Can’t Bromance W/ Drake During 76ers/Raptors Face-Off Thanks To Judge Genece Brinkley

Meek Mill

Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill is staying grounded. New reports claim his now-infamous judge in a publicized probation violation case is denying his request to travel to Toronto during the NBA playoffs.

According to reports, Genece Brinkley isn’t giving the green light for Meek to support his Philadelphia 76ers against the Raptors.

Last summer, reports emerged about Judge Brinkley shutting down Meek’s request for a new trial.

Meek Mill will NOT get a new trial — Judge Genece Brinkley shut down his motion, despite prosecutors acknowledging he should get one. Brinkley made her stunning ruling Monday, saying, “After an in-depth review of the record, court history, notes of testimony, and evidence submitted at the evidentiary hearing, this court hereby denies defendant’s petition for PCRA relief as defendant failed to meet his burden of proof.” (TMZ)

Meek’s legal muscle almost immediately issued a statement on the ruling and what’s to come next.

7:43 AM PT — Meek’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, tells TMZ, “Judge Brinkley made clear during the hearing on June 18th that she had already decided the matter. We continue to believe that this miscarriage of justice will be corrected upon further review, and that the public’s confidence in the impartiality of the judicial system in Pennsylvania will be restored.” (TMZ)

Weeks prior, Meek had his request to get Brinkley off his case shut down.

Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court is denying Meek Mill’s motion to have Judge Brinkley removed from his case … at least until after his next hearing. The state’s Supreme Court justices were split on the matter — 3 denied it, 3 supported it … but there’s a twist. Justice Wecht denied it, but left the door open for Meek and his team to raise the issue again after his June 18 hearing in front of Judge Brinkley. (TMZ)
