U.S. Attorney’s Office: Tekashi 6ix9ine Must Continue To Cooperate Following Release

After Tekashi has completed his 24 months behind bars, it is now being reported that the former gang-affiliated rapper must continue to feed information to federal authorities if they feel his testimony will continue to be helpful.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office used info from Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, to bring down members of the Brooklyn-based Nine Trey Bloods organization. During sentencing, Tekashi was also given five years probation upon his release from federal prison and according to legal documents, he must continue to sing during this five year probation period.

Judge Paul Engelmayer also sentenced Tekashi to 300 hours of community service, an outpatient mental health program and a $35K fine.

With a new $10 million record deal on the horizon, Tekashi’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro claims the rapper could be released as early as next summer with his cooperation and good behavior.
