A report from the Chicago Sun-Times has revealed that a well-known YouTuber was paid fifteen times, totaling $25,000, for cooperating in FBG Duck’s murder case.
“Trenches News” creator Martell Wiley’s participation in the case was revealed by FBI Special Agent Kevin Doyle, who said, “He would provide background information. He reviewed surveillance footage [and] reviewed social media postings.”
Wiley, affiliated with Duck’s crew and the Gangster Disciples, commented on the news after his cooperation with the feds was made public, saying, “They subpoenaed me to court. I’ve gotta come here and tell them, man. It ain’t no more discrepancies. I’m here. Long live [FBG Duck, aka] Carlton.” Defense attorneys also claim that Wiley was used by the feds twice over a decade ago while he was a resident of Chicago’s O’Block.

The FGB Duck murder trial is underway and the star witness has been identified as a blogger who has been paid nearly $25,000 to cooperate with federal law enforcement. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the blogger highlights the drill rap community.
The witness is Martell Wiley, owner and operator of the Trenches News YouTube channel, which has over 114,000 subscribers. He will take the stand and testify against the six men charged with the murder of Duck.
According to prosecutors, Wiley provided information on the O Block Black Disciples believed to be culprits of Duck’s murder. Wiley was listed in court docs as “Cooperator 1” despite previously saying he was not assisting the feds. In a change of events, Wiley put his trademark sheisty mask back on in a YouTube video from what appeared to be a courtroom, stating that he will cooperate.
“They subpoenaed me to court,” Wiley said. “I’ve gotta come here, man, and tell them, man. It ain’t no more discrepancies. I’m here. Long live Carlton.”
According to the Sun-Times, FBI agent Kevin Doyle revealed after the shooting, Wiley called the Chicago Police Department to assist in the investigation, resulting in payment of $24,963 for his help. “He would provide background information. He reviewed surveillance footage [and] reviewed social media postings,” Doyle said.
Wiley was a resident of Parkway Gardens, the southside apartment complex called O Block. He was at one point referred to as a member of the Black Disciples but also stated to have an alliance with rivals Duck and Gangster Disciples.

In April, 33-year-old Ralph Turpin, known as “Tall” or “Teezy,” was the sixth man charged with murdering aid of racketeering and conspiracy to murder in aid of racketeering in connection to Duck’s murder.
According to WLS-TV Chicago, Turpin is the sixth man charged. He joins Charles “C Murda” Liggins, 30; Kenneth “Kenny” Robinson, 28; Tacarlos “Los” Offerd, 30; Christopher “C Thang” Thomas, 22; and Marcus “Muwop” Smart, 22.
The arrest and charges came months after Duck’s mother, LaSheena Weekly, stated additional arrests were coming. FBG Duck was shot in the chest, groin, and neck, killing him and injuring two others in a robbery on Chicago’s Gold Coast. He was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after receiving as many as 21 gunshot wounds during the attack outside of Dolce & Gabanna.
The shooting left 38 bullet casings at the scene and happened over the course of 15 seconds.

LaSheena Weekly, the mother of slain Chi-Town rapper FBG Duck, says that more arrests will be made in connection to her son’s 2020 killing.
Weekly took to IG to let her followers know that the police will be taking more people into custody, captioning a pic of her and her son together at a party.
“THIS JUST IN,,,,MORE AREST BOUT TO B MADE ON MY SONS MURDERRRRR N NOT GON B SATISFIED TILL EVERYONE INVOLVED N I MEAN ‘EVERYONE’ IS LOCKED UP HAVE A BLESSED DAY,” Weekly posted.

“At approximately 16:37 hours today, right here in the 100 block of East Oak Street, we had three individuals shopping,” Chicago Police Deputy Chief Daniel O’Shea said to the media days after the shooting. “Two vehicles pulled up. Four individuals exited those vehicles, two from each vehicle, and began firing at the individuals that were on the sidewalk outside of one of the stores here. They also struck a female that was in one of the vehicles, which was also parked outside one of the stores.”
The men said to be responsible for the shooting were taken into custody in Oct. 2021, but Duck’s mom says that multiple people got arrested for his murder.
“[The feds] just called me and told me they arrested Muwop, they arrested C-Thang, they arrested…two more, five people that they have in custody,” Weekly said in the video. “The lil boy who killed himself August the 24, he was one of the shooters. They shot my son, they just told me that … You heard it from me first. They got they ass. They got them muthafuckas.”
One of the three men apprehended for the murder took his own life while behind bars.
According to declassified documents released by the FBI, late Chicago rapper King Von put out a hit on his late rival, Chi-Town rapper FBG Duck. An interview with a confidential informant has revealed that Von initially placed a $50K hit on Duck before raising the price to $100,000.
According to the interview, Von bought “O Block” chains for the people responsible for killing FBG Duck back in August 2020 in Chicago.
This news comes after an old tweet from Von, who claimed that the now-deceased rappers had put their beef behind them and planned to collaborate to boost the morale of the Windy City.

FBG Duck’s mother extended an olive brand to Lil Durk’s father by publicly sending condolences to their family despite her slain son being name-dropped in Durk’s songs.
The Chicago rapper’s brother, D Thang, was murdered over the weekend and Sheena Weekly, Duck’s mother, took to social media to urge people not to ignite the violence any further. “[I told] my people not to get on the f*cking internet and make fun of that boy and say this and say that,” she said in a video.
“When is it gon’ stop? My babies are dead, they’re not coming back, but the ones that are here, I want them to stay.”
Weekly posted a screenshot of her reaching out to Dontay Banks Sr., in wake of him losing a son. “Gm DURK hope god is mendin your heart as I type this u have my deepest condolences on the lost of your son,” she texted with a series of sad emojis and broken-hearted emojis.
“I swear I’m tryin brother just hold your head as I KNO I can do much love FRM Sheena aka Momma Duck [wink kissy-face emojis][100 emoji][red heart emoji].” He responded, “Thank you and truly appreciate that.”
The exchange made its rounds on the Internet and people commended FBG Duck’s mother for reaching out to Lil Durk’s father despite what their children have going on.
According to confirmed reports, FBG Duck affiliate and cohort Meezle was reportedly shot and killed at a hotel party in Chicago. He was 27 years old.
Meezle, whose real name is James McGill Jr., was shot and killed barely two months following the shooting deaths of FBG Duck and King Von.
The shooting, which took place at the Indian Lakes Hotel, left multiple gunshot victims at the scene where McGill was found and taken to the hospital, but was pronounced. dead just after 3 am this morning(February 8).
Mayor Franco Coladipietro says that the hotel may lose its business behind this incident, stating, “The unfortunate incident that occurred this morning may have been avoided if security was present as First Hospitality Group had promised in our meetings.”
Last week the city of Chicago was rocked by the murder of FBG Duck in the city’s downtown area. While the fear of retaliation rises, Duck’s mother, LaSheena Weekly, is asking for peace.
“I am here today to ask for peace in the city of Chicago,” Weekly said at a press conference. “I am asking that his fans, friends of my son, to please not seek retaliation in the death of my son … As his mother, I want to say please put the guns down so that the generation of tomorrow can grow and live a long and healthy life.”
Duck was known for his hit single “Slide” and was one of three people shot during the incident on Oak Street between Rush Street and Michigan Ave last Tuesday.
