Los Angeles-based actor and rapper Da’Vinchi, who stars in the hit Starz crime drama BMF, produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has leveled up in Hollywood.
The Hollywood Reporter announced over the weekend that Da’Vinchi has signed with APA’s talent division, joining a growing roster of artist turned actors. The agency already reps 50 Cent, and fellow BMF co-star Demtrius “Lil Meech” Flenory. Add Mary J. Blige, 2 Chainz and blockbuster wielding Tyrese Gibson and that puts him in great company.
The announcement caps off a great year for Da’Vinchi who also made his debut on Broadway in Thoughts of a Colored Man in October.
BMF premiered in September and almost immediately secured a second season renewal due to high ratings. The crime drama explores the life story of the Flenory family and is set in 1980s Detroit.
Da’Vinchi is cast as Terry Flenory and Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory, Jr., excels in his acting debut portraying his own father in the leading role.

“No one’s credibility amounts to his. I just want him to tell me he’s proud- he’s seen it, and he’s happy I did it and I killed it.” Lil Meech shared with the Source. “Once I hear that, then it’s all good for me. That’s what I want for my family.” Meech added while explaining how high the stakes were for him to deliver on playing his dad in his acting debut.
Executive producer, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson shared Big Meech was in constant communication with his son Lil Meech and creator Randy Huggins throughout the whole process. 50 Cent and Randy Huggins also revealed the significance and impact of the “Black Mafia Family’s” story on today’s culture.
BMF follows the story of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory, Jr.) and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi), from inner-city Detroit during the 1980s. Forming to create the most prominent drug trafficking organization in the country known as the “Black Mafia Family.” The Flenory brothers must balance their desire to grab a slice of the American Dream, with the desires of what their own parents want for them.

The cast and crew of BMF walked the red carpet for the series that premieres Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 9 PM.
BMF Executive Producer and Writer, Randy Huggins was all smiles. While cast members Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Ajiona Alexus, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Myles Truitt shared group photos. Steve Harris, La La Anthony and Arkeisha “Kash Doll” Knight also walked the red carpet and celebrated the night.
More celebs that were spotted out include Monica, Kandi Burress, Jacob Latimore, Michael Epps, Jamira “Cuban Link” Haines, Ari Fletcher, Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, and Clifton Powell.
David Banner, Jacquees, Young Thug, Gunna and STARZ, President and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch was also in the mix for the star studded evening.
BMF follows the story of two brothers who created the Black Mafia Family, the most prominent drug distribution network in American history, and is set to premiere on Sunday, September 26 on Starz.
