Backpack giant Sprayground is in full-blown spring mode. In celebration of the new season officially arriving, the popular book bag brand has launched a new ‘Shark Universe’ collection.

This week, Sprayground lit up its social media pages to show off the all-blue bags. The launch connects Sprayground with former Crips leader Eugene “Big U” Henley.
The ‘Shark Universe’ collection celebrates the second phase of Sprayground’s Spring 2020 collection, and features a duffle bag, backpack and toiletry bag. Each item has the iconic Sprayground shark mouth, which they are well known for on top of a bright blue checkered leather pattern, making it stand out for Spring!

Founder and creative director, David Ben David has detailed the importance of the new launch. He also spoke about what this collection means to him.
“Big U is an icon and inspiration to many. He has proven to the world that past gang members should not be judged only by their past actions. It’s been a pleasure to work alongside him on this project and hope it won’t be the last – we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on a Shark Universe limited piece and bring some brightness to this Spring time.”

The legend has also come forward to speak on the collaboration. Big U gave David a massive shout-out notably in regard to his creativity..

This collection follows the recent ‘Camokawa’ launch, Sprayground’s first phase of the Spring collection. It consisted of a duffle bag, backpack and cross-body bag, as well as a four-piece apparel line, including three hooded sweaters and one pair of joggers.
