Erica Barrier, Daughter Of Eric B., Dies In Car Accident

After a day in critical condition, Erica Barrier, daughter of Hip-Hop icon Eric B., passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on Sunday in Connecticut. She was 28 years old.

According to an IG post from @therealsister2sister2.0. a tractor-trailer hit Barrier’s vehicle in Hartford, CT around 1 am. She suffered a broken neck and spine and was admitted into ICU at Hartford Hospital.

According to a post on Rakim’s official Facebook page, Erica succumbed to her injuries from the crash yesterday(March 16).

The Northstar Group/The Source Magazine sends our deepest condolences to her father, Eric Barrier Jr., Rakim, the Barrier family, and the Griffith family.

Paul Wall Critically Injured After Serious Car Accident In Texas [Photos]

Paul Wall is probably the most thankful man in Hip-Hop right now. He narrowly survived a very dangerous crash in his hometown.

As HipHopDX reports earlier this week the Houston MC was en route to a performance with his entourage which also included his teenaged son. As they rode in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van to Austin a white truck crashed into their passenger side. Paul recounted the aftermath via a very detailed Instagram post.

“Both vehicles were completely totaled. We all had to climb out of the back of the sprinter because it had spunt around and bent in all the metal, broken glass. My son was sitting directly behind me with his seat belt on (back row passenger). The fact that we were all able to walk away in tact is a miracle” he explained.

In a follow up the “Sittin’ Sidewayz” rapper also admitted that while he and his crew did make it out okay he is now in serious agony. “Right now it’s difficult to walk. It’s actually difficult to move at all. I’m sore allover my body, and my head / neck hurts so much it’s difficult to talk and hold a conversation. The pain is excruciating, and I was only prescribed Tylenol 3 but I’m so happy.”

Let’s hope to a speedy recovery for all involved.

Fenty Beauty Model Reveals She Was in Car Accident 48 Hours Before Her Debut in the VS Fashion Show

In an Instagram post, Fenty Beauty model Duckie Thot revealed that she was in a car accident 48 hours before making her debut in the Victoria Secret Fashion show.

She begins her caption, “Firstly, I’d like to apologize for posting a little late- I had to take some time for myself to process the week, 48 hours before the VS Fashion Show, I got into a car accident on my way to a workout session. Thankfully I walked away without a starch.”

Duckie, real name, Nyadak Thot then went on to say that the car accident opened her eyes to a few things, “the incident put a few things into perspective for me, no matter how hard you’ve worked for something or how deserving you may feel, it can easily be taken away from you.”

The 22-year also praised God for keeping her safe, “God was watching over me in that car and he carried me through Thursday, I couldn’t have done it without him. I’m grateful and thankful for his support & infinite love.”

She also challenged her “followers to pursue your dreams, no matter how big they may seem. If you don’t try to use your gift to share it with others it will terrify you.”

Thot was first discovered on the eighth cycle of Australia’s Next Top Model finishing off in third place and she has also ripped the runway at the Yeezy S/S 17 show. The Victoria Secret Show will air December 2, 2018.
