In the ongoing fiasco of the YSL RICO trial in Atlanta, another courtroom debacle occurred during Young Thug’s RICo trial yesterday, with the Young Slime Life head honcho laughing so hard at his lawyer’s comment, that his amusement almost couldn’t be contained.

During the trial, as seen on livestream, Thug’s attorney Brian Steel used a metaphor to describe him not being allowed to see the prosecution’s evidence, saying, “This is all to me like I have a bag over my head and getting smashed with a baseball bat and I have no idea where to hit. I don’t have anything. I have asked for reports.”

Halfway through Steel’s commentary, Young Thug exploded into laughter and had to cover his mouth to quiet his unexpected outburst.

Obviously, the changing of the guard from Judge Ural Glanville to Judge Paige Reese Whitaker still didn’t cease the shenanigans in the courtroom and the colorful testimony of Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland, who admitted to lying under oath to the prosecution, is proof.

“Like I told you before y’all called me to trial, I have lied,” he testified. “I made things up. I told you this before y’all brought me in this courtroom, and I’m telling you now. You asked me about 2015. I had got my life together. Y’all are trying to put this on my conscience, y’all are trying to put people’s lives in my hands.”

He added, “I don’t wanna be here. Y’all have pressured me, I’m tired of y’all, cause y’all know y’all wrong, and y’all Black people doing this to us.”

Young Thug YSL RICO Trial Delayed Indefinitely Amid Judge Controversy

Several reports have confirmed that the Young Thug YSL Trial has been indefinitely delayed due to drama involving Judge Ural Glanville, who is now trying to excuse himself from the case.

Due to the secret meeting between the judge, a witness, and prosecutors, the trial has stopped, and it will be determined whether Judge Glanville acted inappropriately.

Glanville agreed that the trial would not proceed until another judge decided whether he should recuse himself from it over his alleged misconduct.

The Fulton County judge got into a publicized argument with Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, over the meeting with witness Kenneth Copeland, which Steel said was unconstitutional.

Glanville has now agreed to make the transcripts from his meeting with the witness and prosecutors public.

Steel recently filed a motion to dismiss Glanville from the trial, alleging he had an “unlawful, improper ex parte meeting” with Copeland who had previously been granted immunity by the prosecution in exchange for his testimony.

Steel claims that he and Thug received no notice of the meeting and that it violated the rapper’s “constitutional and statutory rights, including the right to due process, a fair trial, a fair tribunal, ethical prosecutors and the right to be present at every critical stage of the proceedings under the Georgia Constitution.”

YSL Trial Update: Judge Glanville Determined To Find Out Who Told Young Thug’s Lawyer About Controversial Private Meeting

Mother of Murder Victim Testifies in YSL Rico Trial

Judge Ural Glanville has his sights set on who informed Brian Steel, Young Thug’s attorney, about the ex parte meeting with himself, the prosecution, and controversial witness Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland. Yesterday(June 11), Judge Granville announced a Show Cause order to everyone present for the conversation to prove that they were not the source of the leaked information or they will be held in contempt.

The meeting is scheduled to be held on June 25th.

On Monday, Steel demanded a mistrial in court after finding out about the ex parte meeting. Copeland decided not to testify, even after taking an immunity which required his testimony on the stand.

“You’re not supposed to have communication with a witness who’s been sworn,” Steel argued. “… If that’s true what this is is coercion, witness intimidation, ex parte communications that we have a constitutional right to be present for.”

“I still want to know, how did you come upon this information,” Glanville demanded. “Who told you?” Glanville held Steel in contempt of court, sentencing him to 10 weekends in jail. “You don’t get to extort the court. It doesn’t work that way,” he said. Steel also requested that he spend the jail time in the same cell as Young Thug if his appeal doesn’t go through.

The YSL/Young Thug RICO trial is the longest-running proceeding in Georgia’s history.

The YSL Rico trial took a turn when Young Thug’s lead attorney, Brian Steel, was charged with contempt of court. As a result, Judge Ural Glanville ordered the attorney to spend the next ten weekends in Fulton County Jail. Steel opted to spend each of the 20 days alongside Young Thug in Cobb Country.

Steel was taken into custody after he did not answer a question about an alleged secret meeting between the judge, prosecutors, and key witness Kenneth Copeland.

According to WSB-TV Atlanta, Steel was provided five minutes to answer. Steel remained silent.

Steel will now have to report to jail this Friday by 7:00 p.m. and be released at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
