Blacc Sam Recalls the Day Nipsey Hussle Was Murdered in Interview with Big Boy

Blacc Sam, the brother of Nipsey Hussle, gave an interview with Los Angeles media icon Big Boy for his series Off Air. The interview centered on Hussle and provided details of the day he was murdered.

In the conversation, Blacc Sam revealed what he believes was premeditated murder and certain security lapses at the shop on the tragic day.

“Somebody come to the shop, they know we in the doorway,” Same shared. “When Hussle pull up, we in the doorway. You’re gonna see me with a hoodie on and I got a pistol on me. You’re gonna see one of my team members in the hoodie in the doorway with a pistol. That’s protocol when Hussle pull up. So, it’s Sunday. It’s busy in there.

“Why the nigga in there didn’t follow the protocol? I wasn’t there. Why they didn’t follow it? Maybe they was fucking around, helping a customer who was doing some fucking customer service. This is what I’m thinking, trying to transition into some legitimate, just selling clothes. But nobody was in the doorway.

“From my understanding a boy walked up with no shirt on first to check the scene ‘cus he knows what’s going on in that parking lot,” he said. “He probably seen no one was in the doorway, Hussle had on shorts, checked everybody else, left. They say he came back with a red shirt on. Tip-toed through the alley, went right and started shooting.”

Sam revealed the shooter, Eric Holder, returned to the store in a red shirt, which is odd because they aren’t commonly available in the neighborhood. “That’s a throw off, or the Bloods did it. I felt he was supposed to do a job or somebody sent him, and he was nervous. He was supposed to hit that alley with that red shirt immediately. He didn’t do that.”

ICYMI: Nipsey Hussle’s Family Launching Second Marathon Store

Nipsey Hussle

The marathon continues as Nipsey Hussle’s family is planning on fulfilling one of the late rapper’s dreams.

According to The Guardian, Blacc Sam, who’s Nipsey’s brother, announced that the family has purchased a commercial property in the Melrose Arts District in Los Angeles to open a second Marathon Store.

“This second location is a dream that Nipsey always had, and it’s important that his kids are able to see his plans fulfilled,” said Blacc Sam, 39.

The first ‘The Marathon’ store is located on Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue where the iconic rapper was shot and killed in 2019.

Last year, the Guardian revealed that the Los Angeles police department and city officials had targeted the family’s flagship south LA store on Slauson Avenue through a secretive surveillance program and failed eviction attempt.

The original store has since closed and is being used as a memorial space to leave tributes for Nipsey’s memory.

Nipsey Hussle, Blacc Sam And Their Businesses Were Targeted By LAPD’s Secret “Operation Laser” Program

According to a report from AllHipHop, it has been revealed that the 77th division of the LAPD had a string of businesses owned by Nipsey Hussle and his brother Blacc Sam in a now-declassified mission by the department called “Operation Laser”.

The report states that the center of the department’s focus was the Marathon Clothing Store, however, family members and close associates were under the microscope too, causing Hussle’s brother Blacc Sam to accuse the LAPD of harassment.

“We were selling shirts, socks, clothing, and shoes across the street from the Louisiana Fried Chicken,” said Blacc Sam. “They would come and arrest us, cuff us, and take all of our stuff. We would be looking up as all of that happened like ‘Damn, we just lost thousands of dollars of merchandise. Y’all not doing this to nobody else.’ We trying to be legit…Their whole goal was just to shut us down. Even though positive things were happening in the store.”

The LAPD is also being accused of trying to convince landlords of the Marathon flagship location to evict Blacc Sam and his late brother, but they declined because of the positive economic impact Marathon had on the neighborhood.

It has not been confirmed as to whether Nipsey and Sam’s family will file a lawsuit against the department, but the existence of the operatin was unknown to them until now.

TheSource.com will update this story as more details develop behind the operation and its use.
