The 2019 BET Awards have been announced and it reconfirms that Cardi B is still a powerhouse. She leads the pack in nods.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper is primed to have a monster night at the 2019 BET Awards. She has been nominated seven times including the most coveted categories for “Album of the Year and “Video of the Year”. Additionally she is the clear favorite to win “Female Hip-Hop Artist”.
Other heavy-hitters that might be bringing home several pieces of hardware include Beyoncé who is nominated four times. Drake leads all male artists with three. Other noted performers that are in the mix include 21 Savage (“Video of the Year”), Migos (“Best Group”) and Childish Gambino (“Viewers Choice Awards”). Additionally the late great Nipsey Hussle is also nominated for “Best Male Hip-Hop Artist”.
The 2019 BET Awards will take place Sunday, June 23 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
