Grammy-winning singer Rihanna is putting a little respect on her name. The crooner went to social media this week to acknowledge the three-year anniversary of her Anti album dropping.
RiRi went to her social pages Tuesday (January 29) to reflect on how special the album still is to her in 2019.
3 years old….and this baby is still on the #Billboard200 album chart! Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Music was my gateway drug to every other wonderful aspect of creative opportunity that I’ve explored. And I’m grateful for that. #ANTI #ANTIversary pic.twitter.com/2APjZLWNig

In October, Rihanna trolled herself about fans needing new tunes.
Back in July, speculation developed about Rihanna possibly piecing together a dancehall album to follow up 2016’s Anti.
It’s common for stars at Rihanna’s level to cull the best demos from reams of submissions when selecting songs for albums. “[Rihanna’s team] have, no lie, 500 records for this project [from] different producers and writers,” explains one dancehall producer who asked to remain anonymous. “They’re only choosing 10 records. They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now. I’ve been flying to Miami, flying to L.A., cutting records nonstop for this project.” (Rolling Stone)
