WATCH: Saucy Santana Calls Out Akademiks Over Rape Lawsuit

saucy

Following a lawsuit sent to Akademiks for rape and defamation, Saucy Santana reignited his beef with the popular blogger.

Saucy hit Instagram with a scathing post, frequently referring to Ak as a “freaky b–ch.”

DJ Akademiks is the subject of a lawsuit alleging he committed rape and defamation against a woman named Fauziya Abashe.

In the sprawling story from Rolling Stone, Akademiks, born Livingston Allen, is accused of allowing Abashe to be raped by two men that were at his New Jersey home on July 16, 2022.

According to the report, Abashe did not know two women would be present. Those men are said to have drugged her and forced her with alcohol before assaulting and raping her on the pool deck.

Abashe states she lost consciousness during the incident, only to wake up at 4 a.m. on July 16, as Akademiks was raping her. Abashe states Akademiks was “pulling her hair, prying open her legs, and brutally raping her.” She also states she was penetrated anally and vaginally, while pleading for the entire ordeal to stop. She also states she was unable to “move physically.”

The lawsuit details Abashe asked Akademiks about details, in which he showed her a trash can with two condom wrappers, alluding to the woman being taken to another room of the home where the rape continued. Akademiks also allegedly showed video camera footage of the pool deck, where Abashe states she was “lying there lifeless, which did not sit right with her.”

On July 17, Akademiks told Abashe to “get tested,” which led her to believe their encounter was unprotected. Abashe contacted the police and received a rape kit, revealing traces of Akademiks’ sperm. Also collected were images of bruises on her arm, back, legs, and buttocks.

Aiding in the investigation, Abashe participated in a recorded call with Akademiks where he recalled the two having sex and describing the vagina. Law enforcement received a warrant to investigate Akademiks’ home. Abase believes Ak disposed of any evidence.

Abashe did not press charges but decided to sue after allegations were brought forth at the end of 2023. In a social media stream, Akademiks stated, “She was getting trained by my two mens on my pool deck.” Akademiks also stated she voluntarily engaged in an orgy but he never participated.

Akademiks did not reply to Rolling Stone with a comment.

This isn’t the first time that Ak and Saucy have had words. Last year, the two beefed, leading to Saucy creating a diss track.

“You getting punked by a gay dude,” Saucy rapped. “You’re a bitch tryna blame it on some gay rules.”

In case you aren’t familiar with the origin of this beef, Saucy is sticking up for his friends, City Girls, who have been a frequent target of Akademiks throughout the year.

You can hear it below.

WATCH: DJ Akademiks Says His Ex Sent Pictures of Him Doing ‘Weird Things’ to Adam22 and Troy Ave

djakademiks

Akademiks is currently going through it. While he is being accused of sexual assault, he is also concerned about explicit images of himself hitting online.

According to AK, his ex has sent pictures or “really weird things about him” to Adam 22 and Troy Ave. He sharply responded, “What type of girl would do that?”

Ak did not detail which ex he was referring to.

DJ Akademiks trended before the weekend after his ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault. During an Instagram Live session, the woman, Ziya Abashae, stated Ak and two of his friends allegedly committed the crime.

According to HipHopDX, a rape kit was conducted, and she shunned the claims by the controversial personality who stated she engaged in an orgy with his friends.

“For you to pretend you didn’t do anything? That I just went to your house, and I’m some thot, like we didn’t know each other for two years,” Abashae said. “You tried to save yourself after your friends assaulted me. Whether or not you got drunk or not, I know that when you woke up, you were on top of me too. You raped me too.”

Additional claims online feature a woman stating that Akademiks engaged in communication with her until she was 18 before he attempted to have sex with her and a video surfacing with a woman screaming in the background.

You can see it all below.

Akademiks had his first stream of 2024 on Tuesday (Jan 2.). During the stream, Ak spoke about allegations levied against him by his ex-girlfriend, Ziya Abashae, and revealed he was in full cooperation with the police.

“This situation went to the cops over a year and a half ago,” Ak said. “Me and my lawyer were openly cooperative because, serious allegations. I don’t care who’s involved, I don’t want weird shit happening around me.

“We helped the police. ‘Whatever you need! You want a phone? You want passcodes? Let’s decrypt our DVR.’ There is nothing they did not see.”

He added, “It was officially ruled by the D.A. and the police that there was nothing there. There ain’t no charges, there won’t be no charges and there’s documentation.”

AK – “On Me” (EP Review)

In the era of Soundcloud and internet clout, few artists are able to distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack and establish themselves as truly talented. Such is the case for AK. As a 16 year old, he posted his first Youtube video on July 18 of 2016, a remix of Desiigner’s “Panda,” which almost instantly went viral and landed him a feature on one of Sway’s Friday cyphers just two years later. April 3, 2020 rolls around and AK releases his debut project; an EP titled “On Me.” His first Youtube video took off, but does his EP carry the same quality?

The first thing most will notice is that the production quality is exquisite. There is clearly a solid budget behind AK’s work, and it’s shown in every 808 and entrancing melody in the six song tracklist. None of the instrumentals sound the same, each completely owns a unique identity and distinguishes itself amongst the others. What’s crazy is that it’s hard to pinpoint which beat I feel is the best; they’re all that good.

AK first blew up for his ability to rap. He’s always had precise flows and pronunciation, and it’s no different here. He has a diverse bag of flows and switches between them mid verse with ease. It’s the type of style that anyone would hear and conclude “Yeah, this guy can rap for real.” However, there isn’t much to say about him lyrically, although the man definitely holds own. There aren’t enough lines in the project that really catch my attention for me to say that he’s some sort of lyrical genius, but his bar structure is phenomenal and he definitely understands how to write complex schemes, so that’s why I would for sure say he is good, but not top tier just yet. My one real complaint is that the chorus of his first song, “Dumb,” starts with AK counting from one to ten. I’ve always thought of that as cop out way to fill a line unless it’s clearly part of a scheme. In this case, it’s just filler.

AK has been grinding for years, and hundreds of thousands of people have been watching this growth, 1.6 million, you could say, even. It’s always nice to see young talent grab the spotlight, but it’s even better to see them perform well under the lime light, and that’s exactly what we have here. “On Me” is a demonstration of well polished talent. Every aspect of it is executed with ruthless precision. The 16 year old kid who killed “Panda” is now killing his own songs. My, how the tables turn.

Rating: 8/10

Q&A With South Brunswick, NJ Based Rising Hip Hop Artist AK

Dam!!…We haven’t come across a super dope young spitter like yourself for a good minute! Please tell us who is AK? Where are you from? Give us some background on your artist name?

AK is me, Austin Kassabian. I’m from South Brunswick, NJ. I got my name actually from my gamertag on Xbox back when I first created my account. The beginning of my gamertage was AK47 with a few numbers after that, which I’m going to keep to myself because I still use that account lmao. But yeah, when I was playing with friends and people I met online back in the halo days, everyone I played with would just call me AK, and eventually my friends at school caught on and it just stuck with me.

How long have you been in the music game? Also, tell us a bit on how you were able to craft your own unique style?

I started writing poetry in 7th-8th grade but the poetry turned to music around 9th grade. My writing process back then used to be that I would write my songs with no beat at all and then I’d find a beat later that matched with what I wrote. So, I feel like I was able to find pockets and flows early on that I thought were dope, without having the pressure of making it work right then and there with a beat. So over time i learned to use that mindset WITH beats and it gave me the upper hand.

Congrats on your latest EP “On Me” which we just got done conducting a review on and its dropping soon. Is this your first EP? Break down the project in a few words.for us.

‘On Me’ is my debut project. I put a lot of time and effort into making this project and I’m proud of how it turned out. The songs all have a different meaning to me and they all give off a motivational type vibe that I feel like could speak to a lot of people.

Your TOP 5 MC’s & Producer? Also, influences/OG’s of yours you would like to collab with?

MY top MC’s – Wanye, Cole, Kendrick, 50 Cent, Nas

MY top Producers – Dre, Scott Storch, Metro Boomin, Timbaland, JCole

I’d love to collab with Cole or Kendrick. I’m excited for that day to come.

You for sure kill it across all social media!! Any tips and tricks you recommend for all these new up and coming rappers?

Be yourself on there, that shit lives forever.

How is your current fanbase reacting to your project? Also, for all the new fans who come across your music, what do you want to them to walkaway with when they get a taste of your new EP?

Fans are showing crazy love on this project so far! They’re showing overwhelming support and love. I’m glad they rock with it as much as I do. To the new fans, take from the EP as you please. I just try to make people feel good with the music and I hope it does the same for y’all.

What are a few different moves your making for 2020 when it comes to your music career?

I wanted to get into doing another tour at the end of the year, but with the virus going around we’ll have to wait and see. But it would be awesome to get out on the road again especially with the debut project out now.

Any future collabs or projects you working on for 2020?

I have some things I’m definitely excited about. Don’t want to say too much, but just know there’s a lot I’m excited about.

Our highlight question, what your definition of underground hip hop?

To be honest underground hip hop is definitely an opinion based thing. There’s artists that some will say are underground but others will say differently. But underground hip hop to me are the artists who are all on the verge of breaking through to the next level.

Lastly, any shout outs you have?

Shoutout my fans, best fans in the world. Shoutout my family and the homies. And shoutout God.
