The Marathon continues. In honor of Nipsey Hussle’s 34th birthday, Snoop Dogg pays homage to his late friend in the video for “One Blood, One Cuzz.”
The West Coast legend preaches unity between the Bloods and Crips in the powerful clip, which opens with footage from the Unity Walk on April 5, just five days after Nipsey was shot and killed outside his Marathon Clothing store. The rival gangs put their differences aside and come together, while Snoop pays his respects in front of a Nipsey mural.
“For God so loved the world he gave us a good Crip / The late great Neighborhood Nip,” he raps. “I swear to God nephew, you was the truth.”
He also addresses Nipsey’s killer on the DJ Battlecat-assisted track. “Damn, how could this ni**a do this? / It’s cause every Neighborhood Jesus got a Neighborhood Judas.”
“One Blood, One Cuzz” is set to appear on Snoop’s new album I Wanna Thank Me, which drops tonight. The album also features appearances from Chris Brown, Slick Rick, YG, Mustard, Wiz Khalifa, Nate Dogg, Trey Songz, Swizz Beatz, and Nate Dogg.
