New York rapper Safaree Samuels and Waka Flocka Flame are switching up their grocery lists. The hip-hop pair have shared their disinterest in supporting a group of classic foods over possible connections to cancers.

Safaree and Waka both went to Instagram this weekend to reveal their sudden change in heart.

According to past reports, various popular grocery store food products have connections to an alleged cancerous chemical.

A PESTICIDE containing weedkiller has been found “at alarming levels” in popular foods across the US including cereal and snacks. Honey Nut Cheerios, Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran and Frosted Flakes and Doritos Cool Ranch, Ritz Crackers are among the affected products. These best-sellers were reportedly found to contain higher than average traces of glyphosate – a widely used weedkiller used on commercially genetically modified (GM) crops. (The Sun)

Last year, California man Dewayne “Lee” Johnson made headlines after winning a massive lawsuit against former agriculture company Monsanto over being exposed to cancerous chemical glyphosate as a groundskeeper.

The groundskeeper who won a massive civil suit against Bayer’s Monsanto claiming that the weedkiller Roundup caused his cancer has agreed to accept $78 million, after a judge substantially reduced the jury’s original $289 million award. Dewayne “Lee” Johnson, a Northern Californian groundskeeper and pest-control manager, was 42 when he developed a strange rash that would lead to a diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in August 2014. Johnson spent years in the early 2010’s being frequently exposed to the chemical.

Johnson, 46, of Vallejo, sprayed a high-concentration glyphosate product called Ranger Pro on Benicia school grounds from 2012 to 2016, even after his cancer diagnosis. He testified that he was exposed to windblown sprays and was drenched twice with the liquid when his equipment broke. One of his doctors said Johnson is unlikely to survive until 2020.
