Joycelyn Savage finally came forward and denied all claims that her man R. Kelly sexually abused her.
A Patreon account claiming to be her surfaced last week explicitly detailing acts of sexual and emotional abuse and manipulation. But Savage exclusively told TMZ on Wednesday afternoon that it wasn’t her.
“Please do not believe what you see and hear on social media. That is not my Instagram. Someone is impersonating me,” she said. “I’m not even that kind of girl that would do something like that and betray him. I’ve been through so much with him and we have a bond that is so special that no one ever can break.”
Savage’s family is still out of touch with her and concerned for her well-being. “The recent statement from Patreon underscores the family concern for the safety of their daughter Joycelyn,” they said in a statement provided to CNN. “Numerous allegations made by the account were alarming and confirmed details from our independent investigation, therefore we also unsuccessfully reached out to the account.”
Patreon recently closed the account claiming to be Joycelyn Savage because the person failed to identify themselves. “After multiple unsuccessful attempts to verify the identity of the account holder, we closed the Patreon page allegedly associated with Joycelyn Savage due to potential impersonation,” Patreon said in a statement to USA TODAY. “All patrons who signed up for the membership page were refunded and the creator did not receive any funds.”
The singer is currently still sitting behind bars and it looks like his girl is still riding for him. One of his former alleged victims, Lisa Van Allen, doubted the legitimacy of the Patreon account, to begin with so it’s a possibility that someone else was pretending to be Savage.
