Remy Ma and Papoose have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl. After what Papoose calls a “tough labor,” the couple’s daughter was born on Friday (Dec. 14).

The new mom took to Instagram to announce the baby’s arrival with a pink post that read “It’s a girl!!” “The Golden Child is here!!!” she added. “Thank you @papoosepapoose for making me the the happiest wife in the planet.”

Earlier in the day, Papoose revealed that Remy was still in labor. “Tough labor…but my wife is still fighting through it,” he said. “She’s a warrior! Keep us in your prayers! #thegoldenchild is on the way.”

In July, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby. They shared the happy news with their closest friends and family during a vow renewal ceremony.

The road to pregnancy has not been easy. Last year, Remy revealed that she suffered a miscarriage. “I promised my husband that I would give him the child that he’s been asking me for since almost the day he met me and I can’t do that any more. I can’t. It f**kin’ sucks,” she said at the time.

The couple has been married since May 2008. Remy has an 18-year-old son, Jayson, from a previous relationship, and Papoose has three children of his own.
