Chicago rapper CupcakKe, born Elizabeth Eden Harris, tweeted a message about committing suicide on Monday evening, prompting fans to worry about the well-being of the rising star.
“im about to commit suicide,” CupcakKe sent just before 7 p.m. local time, also taking the tweet to Instagram. The rapper did not issue a message after.
Comedian Elijah Daniel noticed the tweet and tried to reach out to the rapper but was unsuccessful, leading him to call the Chicago Police Department.
just got off the phone with Chicago PD they’re looking for Elizabeth right now they’ve received several calls but they think they’ll be able to use her number to find her address i will keep y’all updated

The police did a wellness check on CupCakKe, which resulted in a visit Daniel states resulte din a trip to the hospital and is “OKAY.”

UPDATE: Chicago Police got to Elizabeth’s place and she has been taken to a hospital. I don’t have any further information beyond that, but will update when i do.
