R. Kelly’s Ditches His West Side Chicago Studio

R. Kelly has tapped out on being a tenant of the warehouse on Chicago’s West Side that holds his studio. Lawyers for the troubled R&B singer have revealed Kelly will no longer use it for recording purposes.

Near the top of February, the access for the singer to use the facility was restricted to being between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., however, he opposed the order stating that he was the most creative at night. To beef up his claim, R. Kelly likened his creative process and who he was as an artist to that of Beethoven and more.

R. Kelly and his legal counsel cited the extra attention on the singer in 2019 from the documentary where women chronicle decades of his sexual misconduct and the headlines that followed as the driving force.

R. Kelly can never be creative and do his job under these circumstances which leaves him no choice but to leave his building,” the statement revealed.

The recording studio added to the singer’s troubles as of late. Beyond facing a substantial amount of fines, the location had the police called to the building after a news crew from Atlanta states to have seen the singer on the premises after the hours that were allowed. The crew details that a member of Kelly’s entourage stole the key fob from their rental car in response.

Away from the building, R. Kelly is facing more heat as a new sex tape has been provided to the Illinois State’s Attorney’s Office, which reportedly shows him engaged in sexual acts with a 14-year-old girl.
