When Public Enemy takes the stage people tend to pay attention.
They don’t only pay attention, but they also want to fight. They get angry. They get emotional. They seem to get energized. But… let’s see if they get political.
That is the goal and the reason why Bernie Sanders campaign has tapped them to headline a Get Out to Vote concert in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 1st.
CNN’s Ryan Nobles, who is a beat journalist for the Bernie Sanders campaign, posted on Twitter the following:
“NEW: @BernieSanders adds stop in Southern California on Sunday and will he joined by hip-hop legend Chuck D of Public Enemy. The campaign releasing this special poster to promote the event.”
Bernie’s outreach to the Black community is on ten. He currently has a trend called #BernieBruh. On it, you have people of color talking about how they support the Senator.
