Problem Is Back & He’s Speaking Wins Into Existence (Video)

Having focused on his Rosecrans EP with DJ Quik in 2016 and then the full Rosecrans album in 2017, Problem has been busy. The artist who came in the game with Snoop Dogg and Quik has had less time for solo endeavors in recent years. Well, to celebrate the five-year anniversary of his fan-favorite mixtape, Separation, with DJ Drama, the Compton, California MC/producer dropped S2 (Separation 2) in November of last year.

The 20-track project featured everybody from fellow West coast warriors Iamsu!, Mozzy, and 03 Greedo, to cross-country young guns like Nick Grant and Dave East, to industry luminaries like Diddy and Fabolous. Problem has established a solid reputation from his years of grinding in the game, which seems clear from his S2 guest line-up.

To kick 2019 off right, Chachi recently dropped a video for the mellow banger “I’m Cool.” This piano-and-808-driven joint is all about concerning oneself solely with getting paid after relationships and hustling have proven to be detrimental. You can tell the artist born Jason Martin has hard times and a crazy life, yet has managed to distill motivation out of his experiences. Fittingly, he samples SOB x RBE 2016 hit “Anti” for the hook, “Lil’ ni**a back, back / F*ck where that ass at / B*tch, where that cash at?” He doubles up the last line to emphasize his drive to stack dividends.

Diamond Lane Music Group’s franchise player lets his ex (and the world) know that he’s in a good head-space when he spits, “My mind different, I’m listening more, talking less / Ain’t focused on L’s, I’m talking best / I’m talking wins / I’m speaking wins into existence / Thank God for his persistence / Ugh! ‘Cause I was letting him down / F*ck where that ass at, ‘cause baby girl we past that / You ain’t mine, so why would I even ask that? / I’m on the fast track / You still trying to flashback.
