Just moments before he was released on bond from ICE custody, Tory Lanez showed his support for 21 Savage by dropping his “Free 21 Freestyle.”
Over the “a lot” instrumental, Tory pays homage to the U.K.-born rapper, who is facing deportation after overstaying his visa. “Look at what happened to 21 Savage, I’m knowin’ that shit could have happened to me,” he raps. “How they gon’ cut our ni**a from the country for simply rapping on beats that happened to reach his goals…”
Tory was inspired to write the song after seeing a video of Savage’s daughter watching her father on TV. “Made me happy and sad at the same time,” said Tory. “I don’t know what we need to do as a community but let’s figure this out and do our best to help the homie in whatever ways we can.”
The Canadian rapper, who’s gone to battle with Joyner Lucas, Don Q, and Royce Da 5’9″, recently revealed that he’s done with the beef. “Seeing my peers win Grammys tonight really Inspired me and made me realize , we only have so much time to achieve the goals we truly want,” he tweeted. “That being said , i will no longer entertain anymore negativity from this point.”

It’s time to encourage each other as a whole fucking generation .. oppose to always hating on people and tearing them down .. that one message of hate that u write could have changed the mind of the person who could have created the cure for cancer . This is beyond us .
