New York rapper Mysonne isn’t here for what Gucci’s selling. The hip-hop veteran has reacted to the controversial brand launching a new Changemakers fund.
The Bronx native went to Instagram Tuesday to keep things 100 on his issues with Gucci trying to bury its recent blackface sweater controversy with a few million bucks.

According to reports, the company’s new initiative launched following a recent sit-down with Gucci affiliate and iconic black designer Dapper Dan.
The program includes three separate tiers: the Gucci Changemakers Fund, a scholarship program, and a company-wide volunteering initiative. All three programs are meant to foster racial diversity in both the company and the fashion industry as a whole. The changes come after Harlem couturier Dapper Dan (who has an ongoing collaboration with the brand) met with Gucci’s CEO and President Marco Bizzarri to voice his concerns. (Harper’s Bazaar)
On Monday, Dapper hit up IG to help announce “Gucci Changemakers” which aims to help black designers crack into the fashion biz.
